Looked around the forum and found this:

NEW: Interrogation footage released of Daniel Penny explaining how he defended Subway passengers from Jordan Neely.

Penny explained that he wasn't trying to hurt Neely but was just keeping Subway passengers safe.

"I wasn’t trying to injure him. I’m just trying to keep him from hurting anybody else," he said.

"That’s what we are taught in the Marine Corps."

Detective Brian McCarthy says he didn't tell Penny that Neely was de*d during the interrogation.

"You felt like someone’s life was in danger?" a detective asked.

"100%," Penny replied.

Penny is charged with m*nslaughter and criminally negligent hom*cide. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

Penny is a hero.

Straight Down the Middle Ep. 11: The Daniel Penny Trial

Nov 25, 2024

The trial of Daniel Penny for homicide on a New York City subway is a travesty. Here's why.

The word "victim" was not used properly. Maybe I read it wrong. But the dead guy was the aggressor.

About two days prior to this incident in NYC with Penny, I was in a very similar situation with an out of control homeless person in a confined space who was terrorizing everyone. I came really close to doing what Penny did.
At this point, I'm glad I didn't.

I'd rather a straight acquitted verdict...but this is good.

@Goldhedge - why did you post that in the jokes/cartoons thread? :paperbag:
Probably because I thought the trial was a joke?

weird... the @ sign didn't show up in the upper right 'bell' icon as it used to else I might have seen this back then....

Penny was just found not guilty. Protesters getting antsy.

Thank goodness. Punishing good behavior is bad. NYC allows insane people to roam the subways and the city streets while providing little or no protection to citizens. Liberals and progressives should be ashamed but they are not.
