Column: Trumponomics? He would impose the equivalent of a huge tax hike
The high taxes that the dems want to charge rich people and corporations, work in the same manner. Ie: those taxes are passed on to the buyers of their goods and services. They’re initially paid by the U.S. companies that import the goods, but those importers almost always pass the cost on to consumers in the form of higher prices.
Oddly, I consider the right to vote as a secret method of counting the population.Compulsory voting can reduce political polarization in the US, study finds
Voted this am here in SC.... my polling place is kinda of rural, small townish. Light turn out but the poll workers did indeed seem confused with the process... what has changed is that everyone is more aware of voting procedure. People are watching the workers and system like hawks, the general distrust is growing rapidly and by November riots will ensue if what happened at 3am in 2020 repeats in 24.

Compulsory voting is what's down in Communist/authoritarian societies. So I'm sure the dems will be onboard with the idea.Just a little food for thought. Don't do anything rash.
Compulsory voting can reduce political polarization in the US, study finds
Introducing compulsory voting in the United States and other majoritarian democracies, with meaningful and enforceable penalties for abstention, has the potential to reduce political polarization and protect democratic institutions from anti-democratic threats, according to a paper published by a University at Buffalo political philosopher.
The findings, published in the journal American Political Science Review involve the novel repurposing of existing theoretical political models to show how a compulsory voting system could reduce the distance between the proposed policies of two major political parties.

Yep. Without voter support, the gov lacks credibility. Authoritarians want everyone voting on a controlled ballot. That way they can try to claim that they have the Peoples support.I wouldn't mind seeing a "you must engage x % of the voting population before a vote is considered legitimate" rule. With some sort of caretaker, hobbled government for the interim periods that they failed to elect a government.
Oh boy! More commie bs by another TDS afflicted "judge".Illinois judge rules Trump ineligible for Republican primary ballot over Jan. 6 riot
The judge put her ruling on hold to give Trump time to appeal before the state's March 19 primary. Illinois is the third state where Trump has been deemed ineligible.www.nbcnews.com
Oh boy! More commie bs by another TDS afflicted "judge".
And shouldn't it?Once the supreme court rules on the Colorado ballot thing all this will come to an end. Probably gonna happen very soon.
Just out: 9 - nothing ruling Trump can remain on ballot.
Was that from the traffic court judge?Oh boy! More commie bs by another TDS afflicted "judge".
The fact that it even got to the SC is bonkers. That means we have a gov littered with anti-American so-called leaders and judges. Every single one of them SHOULD have been able to come to the same conclusion on their own, that all 9 Justices did.If interested, you can read the decision here:
Yup. And you and I are not the only reason to notice. The fact that it even got to the SC is bonkers. That means we have a gov littered with anti-American so-called leaders and judges
Kunstler lists the five FUBARs in some detail, and then concludes:The USA is a runaway train with a dead man in the engineer’s seat. The conductor goes through the cars assuring the passengers that everything is fine. . . never mind the screeching wheels on the curves. . . or the blinding strobe effect of low sunlight passing through the trees out the window at a hundred and forty mph. . . or the bump that made half the stuff in the overhead luggage rack jump out. More than half the people on-board are at tachycardia levels of fright — some are screeching — but the other less than half just remain fixed on their phones and laptop screens. They can’t be bothered to look out the window...
I've said for a long time that the S-word is the only serious, meaningful way out. Even if it's not carried through, a movement of several States to withdraw from the Union, might wake up the Woketards. What are we going to do about any of this? Return to the metaphor. The runaway train is still picking up speed. You can’t just jump off at 150 mph. If you’re one of the passengers watching this in horror, maybe you can decouple your car, or get the conductor to do it by any means necessary. Let’s say that each car behind the engine of this train is a state of the United States. Let the engine up front with the dead man at the controls ride that runaway to its terrible conclusion. Cut loose the cars behind it to take care of themselves, to slow down, get a grip on their situation, and make plans to find a better engine to pull the train. Decouple. Cut loose. It’s the only way.
The fact that it even got to the SC is bonkers.
BUT if they say he is NOT immune (doubtful) then they have to prove he did the crimes - in a lawful court of law... not in a kangaroo 'hang-em high' style court like Fani is used to...Still one more issue left: "is Trump immune." If the robed ones say yes, the fed charges (jan6 & docs) go away.
court like Fani is used to...
