I saw @TRYNEIN 's thread with an outrageous claim and did a quick internets search to see if i could find more details to corroborate it. I found this fact checker website instead. After digesting their report on the subject of the thread in question, I visited their home page. Crazier stuff than any tabloid publication. Some of it is rather hilarious.

I deleted it...

Another cautionary tale (thank you @Newmisty ):

I added a "Fake News" prefix for the thread. I will add that prefix to threads when the topic has been demonstrated to misrepresent facts (such as altering video feeds to misrepresent what actually happened).

This really wouldn't be necessary if folk verified info against primary sources before assuming that stories that they want to believe are actually true.

isnt fact checker code for propaganda? snopes and the like have little/no credibility

isnt fact checker code for propaganda? ...

Maybe. What are the facts in question? It's not hard to see fake news when a story says one thing and primary source video is available that shows the story was based upon an altered/edited version of the video to misrepresent what happened.

What are you asserting that leadstories.com is misrepresenting (or otherwise "playing fast and loose")? I thought they were quite clear in citing their sources and explaining the issue (which I highlighted in bold below):

I see you deleted your post @cheka . Does this mean that you accept that leadstories was not misrepresenting the issue or "playing fast and loose"?
