Nano Nuclear has developed portable nuclear generators that are roughly the size of a semi trailer. They can be used in remote areas (such as mining) or as disaster relief. Today they announced they are beginning development of applications for space travel.
From a technology and vision standpoint, I absolutely believe in what they are doing. Nuclear is going to be key to the future energy demands of our AI/Crypto society. The company is currently facing a class action lawsuit from early investors who claim they weren't properly informed regarding regulatory hurdles and timelines necessary to bring NNE's products to market. This has put a damper on a stock that initially rocketed to $37 before settling down to around $10. The only analyst recommendation was Buy with a target price of $39, but that was one month before the lawsuit was filed.
I have a feeling they could become a takeover target. Elon Musk would have huge incentive to add nuclear to his portfolio of companies.
The price of NNE seems to swing pretty wildly with general market movements. I've been "week trading" it and pocketing 25-60% gains. I stepped back out this morning, and I will wait for the broader markets to get smacked down by bad news to buy back in at a discount. Through trading I have been able to grow my pile of "free money" with the aim of taking a larger stake long term.
Two weeks ago the stock got a pop when their CEO was interviewed on CNBC. Then it settled down toward the weekend. NNE is still obscure enough to be bought at bargain prices, but I expect that to change as soon as they have approval on a viable product (they are saying 2 years).
YMMV - DYODD
