You hear that? Seattle cops won't lie any more.

In other Seattle news, it's been announced "It's not you, it's me" and "The check is in the mail".

They also plant drugs.

This all goes back to the contempt the Left holds for law, order, and social imperatives.

"Defund the Police." Remember that? Actually, it was just the open, obvious phase of a war on law enforcement that predates the Reign of Hussein.

Well, there's results to that, too. Cops who have options, quit. Florida hired quite a few. Those who don't, have decided to sit on the sidelines, rather than risk getting George-Floyded right into prison. Civil Service makes it hard to fire a cop whose malfeasance is PASSIVE; and taking on violent perps suddenly became a no-win game.

Oh, and those who could...retired, posthaste.

What that meant was, lots of empty slots for new blood. And who the hell wants to be a cop in a city where police are demonized and anarchy is held up as some sort of Utopia? Nobody sane, with options.

So the quality of applicants goes...down. Way down.

You get persons who want to be cops for the wrong reasons. Because of the opportunity to use authority for sex; because of graft opportunities; and because they enjoy pushing people around, who cannot respond.

Many of them are as morally bankrupt as the Leftist leaders of the city. So, lying to interviewees is just one way of eluding a confession...true or not.
