As an Eagles fan I'm hoping they win but they are going up against a quarterback that can do magic.

Patrick Mahomes bold predictions: Three projections for Chiefs QB ahead of Super Bowl 59 vs. Eagles

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes can enter into even more rarefied air with a win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

Mahomes is already the third starting quarterback to reach five Super Bowls, joining Tom Brady and John Elway, and Mahomes already has the second-most playoff wins in NFL history behind only Tom Brady and his 35. With a win and high-end performance on Sunday, Mahomes could secure his fourth Super Bowl MVP. That would make him only the fourth player in MLB/NBA/NHL/NFL history to have at least four championship-game MVPs and put him in an elite club with Michael Jordan (six), Tom Brady (five) and LeBron James (four).

With this latest Super Bowl berth, Jeffrey Lurie shows he’s the most important Eagle of all time

NEW ORLEANS — There are only so many days anymore that Jeffrey Lurie chooses to speak publicly, or feels that he must. Monday here, amid the chaotic absurdity of Super Bowl Opening Night, was one such day. He lowered himself onto a chair on the Superdome turf and let the questioners come to him.

Lurie is 73, and he has controlled the Eagles for 30 years. He is no longer a new, young NFL owner trying to establish his credibility and bona fides, trying to reassure the league and Philadelphia and everyone who cares about the Eagles that he knows what he is doing. This is the Eagles’ third Super Bowl appearance in eight years, their fourth during Lurie’s ownership tenure. When, in August 2003 — before the Eagles had even reached a Super Bowl under him, let alone won one — he said that word around the NFL was that the Eagles were the league’s “gold standard,” the comment gave off more than a whiff of insecurity, as if Lurie were fishing for credit for the franchise’s improvement.

Super Bowl 2025 picks against the spread: A (near) consensus on the Eagles and Chiefs matchup

Folks, we made it.

The 2025 Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles — two teams who looked capable of making it this far all season long, but never had the smoothest roads. On one side of the field is a Chiefs team seeking the NFL's first-ever three-peat. On the other, an Eagles team out for revenge after losing the 2022 Super Bowl to Kansas City.

Chiefs' Andy Reid explains reasoning for retirement decision regardless of Super Bowl result

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt generated headlines when he confidently declared on Monday night that he knew "for a fact" that head coach Andy Reid would return for at least one more season.

Reid put talk about his intentions to bed while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

"Yes, I’ll be back," Reid directly said, as shared by Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

Reid turns 67 next month and was the subject of some retirement rumors last winter before he guided the Chiefs to a third Super Bowl championship across five seasons. No such chatter hovered the club this past fall as Kansas City won 15 of 16 games before it punted on Week 18, and there's no sign that Reid is either slowing down or satisfied with what he's already accomplished as a three-time Super Bowl champion.

Kansas City Chiefs snub Terry Bradshaw and FOX NFL Sunday before Super Bowl LIX

Kansas City Chiefs won't be paying much attention to the FOX NFL Sunday panel as they aim for a historic three-peat at Super Bowl LIX.

Millions of NFL fans tune into the show every week across the season, which has helped the likes of Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, and Jimmy Johnson remain household names. Outside the studio, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is joined by popular pitch-side sportscaster Erin Andrews.

Why Donald Trump canceled Eagles' White House visit after Super Bowl win

A visit to the White House is a longstanding tradition for the team that wins the Super Bowl, but Donald Trump - who is attending this year's finale in New Orleans - pulled the plug on the Philadelphia Eagles' trip to the nation's capital in 2018.

Nick Foles and the Eagles triumphed over the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. It was one of the highest-scoring Super Bowls in history with Philly surging to a 41-33 victory in Minneapolis.
