In 2022 the Supreme Court threw away an opportunity to ameliorate the toxic polarization of America. After the unseemly gamesmanship that led to the appointments of Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett, the new conservative majority should have looked for opportunities to, as Barrett said shortly after her confirmation, “convince you that this court is not comprised of a bunch of partisan hacks.”

Instead, it has become perhaps the most politically extreme and partisan court in American history.

 
Whenever the legacy mediuh liars tell you something, you can make book that the opposite is true.

Abortion is their Satanic sacrament. To be protected, covered, promulgated, and if possible imposed - at any and every opportunity.

The Court was not wrong. Nor was this radical or an overreach. It RETURNED criminal law to the purview OF THE STATES, where the Constitution intended it!

My personal opinion is this is bullshit. They know who the leaker is but won't say who it is because it's one of them. I have 2 peeps in mind: Alito or Ginny Thomas.

If it was Alito or Thomas the Fascist Bumbling Idiots, also known as the FBI, would have had the evidence splattered all over CNN and MSNBC. The fact that the FBI has been dead quiet about this topic makes me believe that the leaker is actually on the other side of the constitutional spectrum.

On December 20, 2022, Politico’s Heidi Przybyla reported that right-wing judicial activist and Federalist Society Vice President Leonard Leo appeared to “have helped facilitate” the sale of GOP strategist Kellyanne Conway’s business, The Polling Company, to the firm Creative Response Concepts (CRC) in 2017. Now, a month later, Przybyla is reporting that a “dark money group tied to” Leo was “dissolved” only “three days after Politico inquired about whether it helped to facilitate” that sale.

When Americans complain about the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the radical-right direction of the U.S. Supreme Court, Leo is one of the people they have to thank. Leo, the Federalist Society’s former vice president, played an important role in the appointment of far-right socially conservative justices like Amy Coney Barrett. Leo was a strong Barrett supporter when former President Donald Trump nominated her in 2020, and four years earlier, in 2016, he encouraged Sen. Mitch McConnell to do everything he could to derail then-President Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland (who is now U.S. attorney general under President Joe Biden).

Prolly about the best thing that mitch the bitch ever did was to help block him from becomming a SC justice. We've had enough wacked out far-leftists on the court. The SC has mostly been a liberal hell-hole for many Decades. Time to let conservatives have the wheel. At least they'll use the Constitution to base their rulings on.
 
^^^^ @searcher , you may laugh, but that is e x a c t l y why we got the RvW decision we did. There is nowhere in the Constitution that has anything to do with abortion. It is a States Rights issue.
.....and to the States it was properly returned.

Actually, until JFK having been assassinated, there were no fed laws on the ending of another's life.
....and that is what abortion does, is it not? End the life of another?

The only fed.gov laws on it only cover ending the life of gov officials though, not babies.

After an unusual delay, the Supreme Court finally issued its first opinion of the term on Monday: a unanimous decision in Arellano v. McDonough siding against disabled veterans who seek compensation for disabilities related to their service. Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s opinion for the court denied these veterans (and their survivors) the ability to obtain benefits retroactively if they filed a late claim—even if the delay occurred because of their disability, or some other factor beyond their control. It’s a painful blow to military members who were injured while serving their country, and a puzzling one: At oral arguments, the justices sounded divided, yet all three liberals lined up behind Barrett’s harsh opinion. Maybe they genuinely believed that Congress intended to impose an exceedingly stringent deadline on disabled veterans. Or perhaps the three-justice minority is so outnumbered that it has decided to pick its battles, and Arellano was not worth the fight.

Protestors swarmed the house of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on January 22, two days after an explosive documentary that investigated his sexual assault allegations premiered at Sundance Film Festival, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Since being nominated to the Supreme Court in 2018 by former president Donald Trump, Kavanaugh has been a controversial figure for the high court — due to his personal background and rulings.

Before securing his lifetime seat as a justice, Christine Blasey Ford, a former classmate of the 57-year-old, accused him of sexually assaulting her while in high school and testified against him at the Senate Judiciary Hearings for his confirmation — which was narrowly obtained in a 48-50 vote.

An unexpected and shocking documentary into Ford's claim was a last-minute addition to the 2023 film festival's lineup. The film reinvigorated critics who felt Kavanaugh should not have been added to the bench — and protestors showed up to his home to make their opinion known.

An example of the bidets judicial nominees.

How can anyone be ok with this? Federal Judges are supposed to know the Constitution, inside and out. it is after all, the very document they are to base their decisions on.

 
^^^ keep in mind that when one of Trump's nominees couldn't answer similar questions posed by Sen. Kennedy, the nomination was withdrawn.
...but dems find it acceptable if their nominees are completely ignorant when it comes to the Constitution.

At least the conservative members of the Court can answer questions about the Constitution, as they actually use it in their rulings. What would that nominee who has obviously never read the Constitution base her rulings on if she doesn't even recall what Article II covers?




As far as not quitting? I will never quit pointing out the ignorance of the left, and the nominee in the vid personifies ignorance.

In this country it's up to the person making an accusation to prove that accusation is true. Presumption of innocence Joe. And we had better thank God we have that and it's not the other way around.

Now what does this have to do with the pic of Kav looking like a psycho? That's what I was referring to. The pic. Doesn't he look like a pscho?

I wonder how Kav's family deals with all this madness? Maybe they're thinking it's time to ditch em? How about his neighbors? Betcha they want his crazy ass long gone. Probably sick and tired of all the protestors. Probably wish they never layed on him.

You can take an unflattering pic of anyone if ya catch them at the right moment.


His neighbors prolly wonder why the law prohibiting protesting at Justices homes isn't being enforced.
It's illegal to try to intimidate Judges.

Lawyers sometimes irritate other people with their persnicketiness about technicalities. But scrupulousness about legal detail is what gives courts their authority. It is big news if the Supreme Court ignores statutory limits on its own power.

Since Justice Amy Coney Barrett replaced Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Court has repeatedly issued orders without legal authorization. This was particularly true in the cases involving religion and COVID-19.

Supreme Court justices must follow strengthened financial disclosure requirements surrounding gifts and free hotel stays, which follows rising pressure from lawmakers about the high court’s ethics rules.

The new regulations quietly went into effect on March 14 and clarify that the justices — and all federal judges — must disclose gifts and free stays at commercial properties, or when gifts of hospitality are being reimbursed by a third-party who is not the person providing it.

The Supreme Court’s Ginni Thomas problem is bigger than legal ethics​

A new investigation by The Washington Post reports nearly $600,000 in anonymous donations to Crowdsourcers for Culture and Liberty, a right-wing activist organization led by Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. The money was channeled through the Capital Research Center, a conservative think tank. According to the Post, "the arrangement, known as a 'fiscal sponsorship,' effectively shielded from public view details about Crowdsourcers’ activities and spending, information it would have had to disclose publicly if it operated as a separate nonprofit organization, experts said."

It’s just the latest instance of the Thomases’ conduct creating questions about conflicts of interest. But the problem runs deeper, mainstreaming Ginni Thomas’ favorite conspiracy theories that demonize fellow Americans, with no accountability as to the sources of her funding.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has for more than two decades accepted luxury trips nearly every year from Republican megadonor Harlan Crow without reporting them on financial disclosure forms, ProPublica reports.

In a lengthy story published Thursday the nonprofit investigative journalism organization catalogs various trips Thomas has taken aboard Crow's yacht and private jet as well as to Crow's private resort in the Adirondacks. A 2019 trip to Indonesia the story detailed could have cost more than $500,000 had Thomas chartered the plane and yacht himself, ProPublica reported.
