I'm thankful that communism has been averted!

“Thanksgiving Pro Tip: Never eat any food offered to you by an adorable toddler relative.
It might look like a cookie, or piece of candy, but it’s actually the flu.”

Real selfish, me...

I broke my hip.

I'm walking again. Not just walking, but walking miles...the way I was able to, prior.

I've seen hip fractures destroy the lives of people my age, and take the lives of people a little older.

So I lost some of my pastimes...bicycling and motorcycle touring. Eventually, I knew those would go bye-bye...just didn't know how.

So...I got off lightly.

It's an invitation to be eating metformin, long-term.

Kids just don't know...and, frankly, when we were kids, all the candy and baked stuff was a lot healthier. Cane sugar. Real cocoa. Far less preservatives. And even though we pigged out on it at Halloween, few of us were fat.

The youngster should be eating a carrot.

Seriously. Tastes are set young in life.

It just makes me throw my hands up in frustration. So MANY people, especially young people, are inculcated AGAINST facts, logic, economic understandings.

We haven't averted starvation yet. And in fact "our" Elites are still working hard on Depopulation...they find a mysterious disease in food-source poultry that no one can see or detect, and of course there is no cure. So hundreds of millions of them must be killed...and the carcasses tossed to rot.

While people's grocery budgets get tighter. While homelessness is increasing, and the risk of being reduced to it, is hitting people with what had once been solid incomes.

I'm seeing a lot of parallels to the Depression - as portrayed by John Steinbeck. Except we don't have the mythical land of California to pine for, and escape to. Even if it wasn't really a refuge, it was a beacon of hope. We lack even that.

Hope you're getting back to 'normal' (whatever that is) and enjoying life!

I think it began when teachers started asking kids "How does that make you feel?" instead of asking "What do you think about that?"

It then became an "everyone is a victim" mentality.

As Chico said, "Lookin' good!"

I did the turkey, my wife did most of the others. She said the mashed potatoes were not quite right. I thought they were just a bit undercooked and missing some salt and flavor. She messed with a couple times and was still not happy. I told her she would not agree, but I would add some chicken bouillon for the salt and flavor. She did add some, and it came out okay. She said the bag of potatoes was fresh from the store, so what happened?

It seems that some foods are just not the same today. She said that cutting onions always makes her tear up, but the last batch was super powerful. Is something changing in our food? Well, yes, I know things are always changing, but...
