When I went to bed last night, the price for $TRUMP was about $9. I checked just now and it's around $21. I had seriously considered dumping a few bucks into it but didn't. I figured it was already too late to realize any Ponzi gainz. Oh well!

It can be traded for Solana (SOL) using a Solana wallet like Phantom Wallet. I also read something earlier today about Kraken listing it today. It will probably be listed on Coinbase and other exchanges soon enough.
 
Just checked - $TRUMP is at ~$35 now. I really should have pulled the trigger last night @ $9. Even this morning at $21 would have been OK, but upside reward didn't seem worth the risk of a crash.

On the bright side (for me), Solana (SOL) is seeing some residual upside from $TRUMP - up 17% over the last 24 hours and currently trading at a new ATH at ~$269.
 
I'm gonna leave this to those who think they understand herd mentality.



...the $ before a symbol, in stock tickers, indicates that the company is insolvent. Is that something we don't know of Trump? Or, wishes?
 
Sorry, it's a habit from X/twitter. The $ in front of the crypto ticker name is used to highlight the name (and identify it as a ticker name). You can see from the tweet in the OP that Trump himself referenced it this way.

They lasted a bit longer than $HAWK, but not that much longer. I read that 42% of purchasers of the $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins were first time crypto buyers. I'm not sure how that statistic was determined, but I suspect that a lot of Trump supporters (probably older and not very tech savvy people) bought these coins as their first crypto and got the full crypto experience.

This one older person, wouldn't TOUCH these (profanity here) coins. It's obvious they're DESIGNED to leverage money out of emotion-driven lemmings, into their own pockets.

I don't know why Trump hasn't put distance from this. Obviously he's not doing it; but apparently he thinks it's a cute flattery, not one more scam to rob people who cannot think clearly.

It may serve a purpose, though. Just as IMHO bitcoin was intended to condition the masses to accept a CBDC, this painful lesson may do the opposite. Teach them, with losses, that there are dangers in this parody of money.
