China is in no position to be doing anything right now. Their debt based make work enterprise has run its course, prematurely due to one child. They were in prime position to clean out Australia in the immediate wake of the GFC, and there were signs that they were on course to make this place China Southern Territories.

But no more. The flight of Chinese capital out of Australia has been remarkable.
