Davos Crowd Flocks to Ukraine House for Trump Inauguration Bash​

(Bloomberg) -- As Donald Trump was inaugurated indoors in sub-zero temperatures in Washington, over on the snowy slopes of Davos the buzziest place to be watching his swearing in was none other than Ukraine House.

The vodka was flowing from champagne coupes decked out with American flags. Emblazoned on the front of the building — “Your Country First” — a twist on the MAGA refrain. Inside, the ceremony was broadcast on an over-sized screen against a backdrop of blue and yellow.

Davos 2025 live updates: Trump set to address WEF; Germany’s finance minister calls for ‘debt brake’ reform​

LONDON — Welcome to CNBC’s live blog covering Day 4 of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. We’ll bring you all the latest news, views and action from WEF throughout the day.

Germany’s Finance Minister Jörg Kukies said Thursday it was critical that his country “embarks on a path of economic growth,” telling CNBC that structural weaknesses in the economy must be combatted.

He also called for some “targeted reforms” to Germany’s so-called debt brake, a rule that limits how much debt the government can take on.

The big event on Thursday will be President Donald Trump’s keynote address this afternoon. The newly inaugurated president is due to address WEF via video link at 5 p.m. Davos time.

It might be in that ~30 minute video, but I saw a note that Trump roasted the Bank of America CEO in his WEF videoconference appearance over debanking of Conservatives.
