Thanks for the video Rory!

You mention one of the things that makes your unit more convenient than others is that everything is in one place.

Is it possible you could include one more thing? Could you please include a list (simply a printout) of most popular coins diameters and thickness so one can compare to their findings using the scale you provide?
Yes, I can post a list. Will do this tomorrow

This is the range of conductivities for popular coins.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I meant could that list be included with the purchase of the unit?
As I stated, I know people can look that up, but if it comes with the unit and stays with the unit (possibly in the drawer?)
then they have everything all in one spot.
Not a deal breaker, just thinking it would be convenient to have such a list WITH the unit at all times.

Yes, of course. The expected readings for each type of coin will come with the device.

It will be printed on the back of the coin slider

**HEADS UP - REVIVING AN OLD THREAD**

I have been in email discussions with Rory again recently.

The cradle is ready for pre-order and Rory is wanting to get these out/available before Christmas
I've already placed my pre-order and the total, with tax, ran me $765 USD.

@EON Bullion hey Rory, I think the message is short and sweet and I think I've pretty much got it covered.
But, is there anything you'd like to add?
I'm sure the group would love to hear from the horse's mouth

Hi All, Slowly the project has been moving along. I have been trying to gather test results and have acquired quite a few now, see the google sheet attached below. The Coin Cradle is ready to go, but my manufacturer needs to know numbers to see if we can make and ship them. The Coin Cradle is 600 Euro + Shipping, So about 630 USD. Is there anyone here still interested in getting one? once I have numbers I can let you know if we can go ahead. Each one will have a brass plate with the initials of the customer personally engraved and it will be numbered. I have sold Number 1 already, so we will be shipping from Number 2 on, if there is enough interest. Overtime the database of tested coins will grow and I may put up a website for users to compare readings across more rare coins. Coins of the same alloy and weight test very similar. Thank you for your ongoing support for the project! All the Best , Rory1741103122505.png

Also if anyone is interested in partnering up to sell these in the US, let me know. Be great to have a partner over there!!

FWIW, I contacted @EON Bullion last year about the expected release date for the EON Cradle (when it would be available for sale). He explained some of the challenges he was facing in gathering sufficient data for the test results to produce a sheet of guidelines for measuring different coins. I offered to assist and after we had some conversations, he sent me a prototype late last year so I that could assist with gathering data.

Unfortunately, I was struggling with some pretty severe back pain issues and that hindered my ability to do a lot of things, including sitting in a chair for too long or making some trips to my local coin shop to run measurements on their inventory.

The first batch of measurements that I eventually did ended up in the round file because I did not follow proper procedures (instructions were not fully explained, but I should have figured out the mistakes I made anyway - chalk it up to user error on my part). Anyway, I finally got the proper procedure sorted and managed to get a decent, but incomplete, trove of good data. It wasn't until recently that I was able to visit my local coin store and finish measuring items that were still needed for the list.

The folks at my local coin store were really cool about letting me test whatever I needed from their inventory. Everyone should be so lucky as to have a local coin store run by good people.

All that said, I can tell y'all that the EON Cradle is really cool. It looks great on the shelf and it's kind of fun to use. You do need to be a bit mindful of what you are doing while using it to get good results, but it's not difficult. Everyone at my LCS that saw it while I was there was intrigued and one gent offered to buy it from me there on the spot - lol.

It was fascinating to see how well it worked. I even tried to measure regular coinage (penny/non-90% quarter/etc.) but they don't slow the pendulum at all. The dial just kept going and going and going. The difference between a real gold/silver coin and not is very evident.

i find it fascinating also and love the "old school" look and feel and would consider buying one at some point........ i do already own a sigma and a pinger so it would be redundant for me for testing......but has a very high cool factor vs digital tools.....i am not sure i can fully appreciate the time and effort that went into developing this tool

Seems like the video posted on page one might have gotten updated/replaced:
