68F, no humidity and sunny - not a cloud to be seen. Awesome day!

33 and snowing. I think it's spring in South America though so definitely time for a change.

Dank, dreary in the 30s today. Been flurrying since 2 this afternoon. Glad it's not laying. Guess I'll make sure the generator & snowblower are ready to go next week. Witch tit cold Sunday.

Been snowing a while now. Supposed to get witch tit cold tonight and for the next 3 or 4 days. Probably wear ankle weights when I clean up the snow tomorrow. Thank God for a good snow blower.

Forecast says an inch of snow is possible for the greater Houston area tomorrow. That's extremely rare.

Don’t waste any time!
...
You joke, but I actually went to Costco and HEB (local supermarket) today. Both places were packed with shoppers prepping for the apocalypse. You had to hunt for a parking space like it was Christmas time at the mall. Lines for the checkout were very long. Every other shopper had cases of bottled water (lol) in their shopping cart. Costco was completely wiped out of eggs.

Also - I misspoke in my last post. The snow is predicted for Tuesday, not tomorrow. Tomorrow is just supposed to be damn cold.

Anyone else get snow where you never got it before?

We're used to getting snow, but it usually doesn't stick around too long. This stuff has been on the ground for more than a week and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Last night went down to 7 with a high today of 17. They're calling for 7 degrees again tonight.

It's quiet out here. Well, sometimes. In the Spring, you almost can't sit out on the deck because of all the noise from the peepers and bull frogs in the two ponds that are just over the hill. My property runs all the way down to the Rappahannock River which is at the bottom of that ridge in the sunrise photo. Just about had it with all this cold though. 40's and 50's is more the usual for this time of year. There's too much snow for golf. It's too cold to work in my woodshop. So I am keeping myself occupied by painting a room in the house. Patched some drywall yesterday. Will start taping it today. Going a little stir crazy.

Here's a summertime shot of one of my cow fields. The horse fields are up front on either side of my driveway. We keep the cows in the back in one of three fields that we rotate.

Snowpacolypse in the greater Houston area ends today. We had ~90% melt yesterday and back to freezing temps overnight. Today we go back above freezing to finish melting any remaining frozen snow, slush and ice. Kids in our neighborhood had a blast throwing snowballs around. I actually shovelled my driveway and sidewalks for the first time ever in my life.

Who’d ya steal the shovel from?
