Today's website:
http://freestateproject.org/

It is about a group of people that didn't think they could change the country, so they picked a state (NH) for everyone to move to and try and change that one state. It is a pretty good idea except it is to cold in NH for me to live there.

messil, that reads like an advert ........... only the URL is missing ???

and if you value honesty and integrity, why would you want to do this kinda stuff ?

it will most assuredly bite back ..............

Also, we get all our exercise there jumping to conclusions, avoiding responsibility, and stabbing each other in the back!

http://www.mdpub.com/solar/index.html

This is a guy's site where he has done different projects, such as building solar panels. Has DIY instructions if you are in to that sort of thing.

Other topics on his site are: Wind power, Gold prospecting, Solar cooking, Home build jet engine, and a few others.

I found it pretty interesting and easy to follow guide on building the solar panels and where to get the items necessary.

Todays interesting website:
http://whiskeyandgunpowder.com/

This is a blog style website that writes articles mainly on commodities, politics, technology, and history. Enjoy!

It looks these guys are not updating this website anymore, but migrated to an exisiting website here:
http://lfb.org/

"Laissez-Faire Books has been publishing and distributing books on liberty, with a focus on economics and finance, since 1972. The theme is freedom and its role in building a prosperous civilization, and the belief that state intervention is universally dangerous and damaging to human liberty. Our selection of titles reflects our interest in allowing liberty, property, and peace to be the mother of order and the good life."

I found a great site for charts and info.

Socialtrade.com

I signed up, logged on and discovered that I found a site that has thousands of great graphics that are apparently updated pretty frequently.

Very useful website

I found a permaculture website while researching rocket stoves. The link below leads to a well organized site aimed solely at helping folks reach some measure of self sufficiency.

http://www.richsoil.com/

I found it to be very enlightening.

Possibly no one posted because just about every alternative blogger quotes John Williams shadowstats and only newbies would not know about him ?

He's a real 'doomer' too and confidently predicts a "hyper-inflationary depression" (-:

...sometimes, it is the most obvious things, that we only stumble upon by chance:

http://www.freestockcharts.com/

the BEST free charting site I've come across, by a Russian mile (everything is bigger in Russia). Requires Silverlight plugin, but works not only in IE - works OK in Chrome for me.

objective, scientific & quite rigorous LED lights comparison - have a look here to see if that new LED GU10 makes any sense at all, as measured, vs. claimed by the seller...

...one can have some Prozac, and numb himself a bit, or one can try & integrate his feelings, whatever they are, and whatever their non-pleasant underlying cause is:

"Tapping", or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Just came across that, and it is some real shit. Just in case, it would be necessary to be able to be honest with yourself about your current feelings/state of mind, to make a constructive use of it (and not hurt yourself more instead, rather the same way, as if taking "mood changer" prescribed pills), so use at your own risk...

I found another one:

http://www.businessinsider.com/

I like the conservative bent and the extensive content. It's kind of a cross between Weasel Zippers and Drudge.

Ancona, I've been following them for about ten years. Sometimes they get kinda sensationalist. Now I'm gonna got look at weasel zippers. Never heard of them...

The few forums I looked at were empty, thought maybe you had to register first. Won't let me register, or even contact anyone there.:doodoo:

Did you look in the Committees of Correspondence subforum in the public area? It has over 35,000 threads.

I don't remember which ones I looked in, they all were basically a blank page saying no new posts in over 6 months. Doesn't really matter either way if I can't register to be a member.

Hmm.. I'm getting different results off the link I posted above. Bummer. It's one of my everyday spots. I'm a member, but I rarely login, just read the public forums.

Try this link directly to the public area:
