@pmbug
shouldn't you use more often the hashtag #goldforum in your posts - not the replies to others' posts but your posts in your profile - therefore attracting to your profile people looking for gold forums?

It's kind of like internet keyword marketing - being #1 for a word that no one is searching for doesn't really help.

So I got into a thing ...

The conversation was really rather bizarre/surreal.

I guess I got the last word on that exchange as he hasn't responded to my last post in the last hour or so.

I appreciate the repost, but how did this person even see my post in the first place?

I'm curious how the non-existent chicks who keep following me know I exist and what they really are :dontknow:

Those accounts are generated by bots (computer programs). X has a search feature that provides suggestions. Type a letter or two in there and you get a list of autocomplete suggestions. I assume the bots mine those to find accounts. Also, if you have ever posted a single thing, then your post can be searched and found. There may be other methods privy to the bots that I'm not aware of. I haven't really examined X's structure that closely.

I seem to have unintentionally stirred up a bit of a hornets nest:

Got a lot of replies. Sarah Johnson referred to you as Mr pmbug and she's not into eating bugs. Made me smile.

A couple of unusual follows this morning (just now):

Just for fun..........

Ed Krassenstein (if I have the right one, Ed is a very interesting character.)

Take this one fwiw:

The Ed Krassenstein account that followed me appears to be the real Ed - over 1M followers and the blue check mark. I have never noticed any interaction with the account before though (no retweets, replies or likes).

The Bob Coleman PRIVATE account puzzles me and I suspect it is a fraud account. I've interacted with Bob on his real account and he's active there. I doubt he set up a second account.

Following Ed. Could be worth a few laughs.

Here's a goodie
