I am deeply pissed to this day with the way veterans are treated -- major gains notwithstanding, because other things are not going to be changed/fixed/made right/made fair/made equal.

Because I volunteered and wrote that check, I served 4 and got my helmet dinged. That cost me my "full" citizenship.

Anyone in my state can get a medical marijuana card. Unless they are in my category. I am not allowed to do what an ex- carjacker is legally allowed to do.

The ONLY way I could get that card is to claim PTSD. ONLY way. There were a bunch of GI's who jumped into that at first -- and then the word got out that if you have PTSD, you cannot own guns. And your home can, and will be periodically searched to ensure your compliance.

Anybody want to read that twice? That's what GI's get. It just ain't even cheatin' fair. I am not upset with my beloved America. I am upset with the asshole politicians who are destroying my America.

Thanks for saying out loud about the VA what we cannot say or we lose our rights.

We lost them in, we lost them out, while we were saving democracy. Evil.

No joke.
I trained in the "backyard" at Fort Ord when for whatever reason they couldn't take us out for a month. I saw caches of 55 gallon drums rusting away at various locations out there. I kept my men away from them and told all my people to not get close. But of course it leeched down into the water. They will play innocent but I'm telling the truth.

I was there 1989 to 1991, my family lived in housing and most likely were more exposed than I because I was always away from home it seemed. Seems I was there in the middle of that exposure time. They sent a guy to Korea who wrote his congressman about asbestos in housing.

Democracy in the New World BEGAN in my 11-times grandfather's tavern and tap room with the 9 Men (he was one of them).

My 7-times grandfather was George Washington's bodyguard. We have the sword presented to him by LaFayette.

Many others in my Family fought in the Revolution. That's how we got the farm I grew up on -- granted for special service.

Both sides were represented by members of my Family in the Civil War. You can read about one of them in the reprint of the Gettyburg newspaper. We have a funny story about two "rebel" boys.

My great-Uncle Arthur was a bugler at Belleau Wood, Chateau Thierry, and Battle of the Marne. Gassed and shot (elbow) in WWI. I still have both his bugles and the final message he was carrying, but never got to deliver.

My father was a motorcycle cop who got his leg crushed between two cars as they crashed. He could not join.

I am named after my uncle, Lieutenant General Edward Walter Snedeker, Commandant of the Marine Corps; he commanded a regiment at Iwo Jima.

My wedding present 63 years ago from my Unca Harry (29th Infantry Div) was the trench dagger that was on his hip on D-Day at Omaha beach.

My Unca Irv was a P-51 pilot, shot down strafing Prague aerodrome (Me-262's). Wound up having the entire Luftwaffe there surrender to him.

My brother served 26 years.

Every one of my Family above were volunteers, just as I was.

I think I can lay fair claim that I come from what some would call a military family.

Late Edit Add: There are lots of others I could name and describe who served, but I did not want to have my point faded out: My gripe is sincere, and totally directed to those who are ruining destroying our military and what it stands for.

It stands for the picture my beautiful son sent me on Veteran's Day!

Love It. Ever been to the Oshkosh Air show? I visit military museums whenever I can. Not many of those planes available to see.

Oath Keepers was or is an organization stood up for people who have taken an oath to the Constitution of the United States.
The idea I assumed was to take a public stance that the member would not violate that oath. Thus, with members, it can advocate and or lobby Congress on behalf of its members.
I would expect such an organization to have members from the Military, Law Enforcement, etc.
So why the shock about a member being in the F.B.I.?
Does his membership application state that he was F.B.I.?
Does not compute.

Oh yeah. Watched a rowboat coming in for a landing once. And that old green flying car. When the show closes, they line up visiting aircraft and tell everybody to take off free-for-all without any further tower instructions/clearance. Fun to see (and be among) a blue jillion small planes taking off in a long herd. May sound unsafe, but ain't. Everybody is going the same way, d'ysee... like duckies.

I also saw one that looked like this. It was a Brit plane with one problem: No one ever successfully bailed out of one because the back tail plane made a great meat-slicer. The Brits aptly named it: Vampire. :devilish:
