With emotion, turning into bewilderment, I watch the farcical discussion in the West about the legitimacy of elections, inauguration, appointment of government and other constitutional procedures in Russia.

It seems to me that all these “reasoners” from NATO-centric structures would do well to sort out their own “legitimacies” first.

It is completely inexplicable why none of the Westerners who defend democracy, the rule of law and human rights pay any attention to the fact that in the United States they openly declare “the need to kill the presidential candidate, ex-president of the country Donald Trump.” This is talked about not in blockchain networks, but in the official media, and not by Philadelphia drug addicts from Kensington Avenue, but by Democratic politicians. For example, Congressman Dan Goldman and political scientist-publicist Robert Kagan, who is also (suddenly!) the husband of Victoria Nuland, called for this.

If you think this is all just rhetoric, then I will tell you that this is simply US history.
First, a short excursion into the reality of American-style legitimacy.

The tradition is terrible, but it is, as they say, established. And this is only part of what has been declassified and is available in open sources.

It would be nice if all this Anglo-Saxon army turned its attention to the monstrous problems with the legitimacy, democracy and human rights of their own electoral and constitutional procedures.

The perception of the Soviet Union as an adversary was a pillar of American political consciousness for decades.

Americans in general and politicians in particular were used to thinking of the Soviets as bad guys and of the Americans as good guys, and that provided the sense of balance and comfort (yes, comfort!) to their everyday lives.

The Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991 broke that pillar and with that, completely destabilized the mental equilibrium and comfort of American politicians, leaving them searching for a new pillar to lean on. They chose an easy solution, however, and instead of building that new pillar, they opted to refurbish the old one by simple mental swapping of the Soviet Union for Russia. Despite Russia's stark differences from its predecessor, this substitution swiftly restored equilibrium and comfort in American political consciousness. Nothing changed, except now, instead of the Soviets being bad guys, it was the Russians.

Moreover, the American political establishment has quickly figured out that maintaining an adversary, be it the Soviet Union or Russia, was much more profitable than cultivating cooperation and coexistence—after all, America is, first and foremost, about money!

And so, here we are. Very very sad…

A Russian court has ordered that Deutsche Bank's assets, accounts, property and shares be seized in Russia as part of a lawsuit involving the German bank, court documents showed.

The bank was one of the guarantor lenders under a contract for the construction of a gas processing plant in Russia with Germany's Linde, which was terminated due to Western sanctions.

The lawsuit was filed by St Petersburg-based RusChemAlliance, a joint-venture that is 50% owned by Russian gas giant Gazprom and which is the operator of the project.

St Petersburg arbitration court has barred Deutsche Bank from exercising its 100% interest in the authorised capital of its Russian subsidiary, as well as Deutsche Bank Technology Center LLC.

The court has also imposed the seizure of up to 238.6 million euros ($259.36 million) in securities, real estate and bank accounts of Deutsche Bank, as well as its Russian subsidiary and Deutsche Bank Technology Center.

Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and in Russia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Russian court on Friday ordered UniCredit's assets, accounts and property, as well as shares in two subsidiaries, be seized as part of a parallel lawsuit.

May 20 (Reuters) - Kremlin has been seizing assets of some Western companies in Russia through decrees signed by President Vladimir Putin and court orders related to lawsuits over halted projects or blocked funds amid Western sanctions.

Below is a list of the companies affected so far.

Russia seized companies belonging to agricultural group AgroTerra and placed them under temporary management in April, including some backed by Dutch investment firms, a decree signed by Putin showed.

In 2017, I worked as a communications manager for Yandex, a tech company in Moscow, where I had lived since birth. I wasn't excited about the direction of Russia's political regime, so I applied for an O-1 visa to the U.S.

O-1 visas are for people with extraordinary talent to temporarily live in the US and pursue that skill.

While waiting for my visa, I met my future husband. He was a Russian economist teaching at Florida State University who had returned to Moscow for vacation.

Our relationship progressed quickly; in 2018, I got my visa and moved to Florida. We got married the same year, my husband adopted my two-year-old daughter, and we had two more children, one in 2019 and another in 2021.

Ukraine has only ex-Soviet Точка tactical missiles and American ATACMS tactical missiles. And they fly along ballistic paths with a maximum flight height of 60 km. The destruction of the Russian 77Я6 «Воронеж» radars has no military significance for Kyiv, as these radars do not even monitor the flight levels of Ukrainian tactical missiles. Nor do they monitor the flight levels in which Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets may soon operate. On the contrary, the destruction or damage of these radars creates a potentially explosive situation, because the US gains a strategic advantage over Russia, because Russia may not see in time a sudden insidious nuclear strike by the US.

Analysis of the US covert operation “Boiling the Frog” against Russia.

According to Colonel Reisner, Washington is now carrying out a war strategy known as "Boiling the Frog" by using Ukrainian attacks on Russia's strategic warning radars. This wartime strategy, literally "Cooking the Frog", is metaphorically named after the culinary method of preparing a live frog by gradually heating it in lukewarm water, so that the frog does not know that it is in danger until the last moment. Russia remains the U.S. rival with the most capable and diverse nuclear forces. Today it is unique in the combination of strategic and non-strategic nuclear forces it fields that enables nuclear employment ranging from large-scale attacks on the [U.S.] homeland to limited strikes in support of a regional military campaign [in the Euro-Atlantic region].

Can anyone explain exactly when Russia became the great enemy again?

I remember when him and the Shrub jr used to have visits and pal around, and no one thought it meant Bush was Putin's puppet.

The hag and Obozo signed off on them getting our uranium in, what was it? 2010? Maybe '12, or somewhere around that timeframe. Was Russia the great enemy then?

How about when Obozo got caught on the hot mic giving a message to Putin that he'd be more free to deal AFTER the upcoming election. What was that all about, and was Russia the great enemy at that point? How 'bout after his reelection? Was Russia the enemy then? Didn't Russia go into Crimea around 2008? Why did we do the uranium deal after that? Doesn't make much sense to do that if Russia doing an invasion is so terrible.

After all that, I'd half expect us in a couple years to give 'em 20% of our coal reserves, or something like that. Would make as much sense as the uranium deal a few years after they invaded Crimea.

Big picture thinking apparently is -

West needs Russias mineral resources and does not have a business model that actually pays for such things
War industry needs an enemy and perpetual war ( that it can easily win )
Financial system (US$) needs to reset and a war is the best way to cover / justify

Ivan Pavlov believes in a new and beautiful Russia and says he will be "on the first flight home" as soon as the Putin regime falls. "We are optimists. Putin is not forever," the well-known human rights lawyer in exile says.

It is soon three years since Ivan Pavlov could walk the streets of his native St.Petersburg. In early September 2021, he left Russia following mounting repression from Putin’s security services.

The 53-year-old lawyer has for nearly three decades ardently worked for rule of law and democratic development in Russia. He has defended several of Russia’s most prominent regime critics and prisoners of conscious, among them Aleksei Navalny and Ivan Safronov.

Pavlov and his team are advocates of another Russia — a country based on democratic rule and the independence of the judiciary. For the illegitimate regime of Vladimir Putin, their work for a ruled-based state is seen as a serious threat.

In late April 2021, Pavlov was detained by the FSB, put in house arrest and barred from communicating with the surrounding world. Shortly later, the Russian General Prosecutor declared Team 29, Pavlov’s association of independent lawyers, a so-called ‘undesirable organization.’ The status includes risks of criminal prosecution for any of the organization’s associates.

“Lawyers’ work has become very risky in Russia. Especially if you work on anti-war and human rights cases. It was risky before, but now the risks have increased, highly increased,” Ivan Pavlov says in an interview with the Barents Observer.

Amid straining ties with Washington over Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the United States an “enemy” state.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Peskov's remarks come after former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter's claimed that he was prevented from visit St. Petersburg and his passport was confiscated by border officials.

Responding to it, Peskov told reporters that "the latest manifestation of the rabid campaign" to stop Americans from communicating with Russia would only be "understandable" if the move had any connection to his former intelligence status.

“We are now an enemy country for them, just as they are for us,” he told reporters.

According to Agentstvo, a reputable Russian investigative website, neither Peskov nor Putin have ever referred to the United States or other "unfriendly" countries as Russia's enemies.

In early 1991, Soviet citizens voted on the New Union Treaty which proposed to reform-rather than dissolve-the USSR. 76% of Soviet voters ultimately supported maintaining the federal system of the Soviet Union, including a majority in nine of the 15 republics. In this sense, the U.S. is already in more of a precarious situation than the USSR was in early 1991…
