America's Last Gap Effort to Keep World Hegemony

John is a merchant mariner and owns a forum I've been a member of for years. This is a rant thought was worth sharing. Nothing earth shattering......just something I enjoyed.

You seriously don't know why?

Obviously, it's part of the D's determined effort to have a smooth transition of power!

First watch this:

Biden being legit President, but of a bankrupt US Corporation.

then read this:

Trump's TIME interview exposed a hidden genius:

Everyone saw a rambling conversation.

But buried inside was the most sophisticated psychological warfare in political history.

Here's how he quietly rewrote the rules of influence:

Dear Democracy,

Your replacement notice has been issued.
No hearings. No committees. No signatures required.

This is not a coup.
It's an upgrade. A quiet system shift while the old guard clings to power.

The architects of tomorrow are already at work:

France's narcissistic President Macron declared on Monday that he was still waiting for Africa's Sahel states to thank Paris for supposedly saving them from militants. "I think they forgot to thank us, but that's okay—it will come in time," Macron remarked with misplaced irony.

This is, of course, a convenient lie—very typical of Macron!

It is precisely Western interventions in the Sahel that have directly fueled instability in the region. While claiming to counter terrorism and raking in tremendous profits in the process, the West ignored root causes like poverty and poor governance. Instead, U.S. and French efforts propped up fragile regimes, inflamed public resentment, and created power vacuums ripe for exploitation by militants. Military failures, coups led by U.S.-trained forces, and growing anti-Western sentiment have only worsened the crisis. By neglecting systemic issues, the West has left the Sahel more violent, unstable, and vulnerable to extremist insurgencies.

So, no thanks are in order. There is no place for you, your country, or the West in Africa. In fact, it is you, your country, and the West who owe the Sahel people an apology—and gratitude for not having been kicked out long ago.

UPDATE:
On January 7, Senegal's Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko responded to French President Emmanuel Macron's remarks about Africa's "ingratitude" for the fight against terrorism in the Sahel, stating that without African soldiers who defended France during World War II, the country might still be under German control today.

And where is France's gratitude?

Greenland's leader steps up push for independence from Denmark.

Greenland's Prime Minister Mute Egede emphasised his desire to pursue independence from Denmark, its former colonial ruler, during his New Year speech, marking a significant change in the rhetoric surrounding the Arctic island's future.

Egede's speech, which comes on the heels of comments by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump expressing his wish for "ownership and control" of Greenland, also expressed a desire to strengthen Greenland's cooperation with other countries.

"It is about time that we ourselves take a step and shape our future, also with regard to who we will cooperate closely with, and who our trading partners will be.

The history and current conditions have shown that our cooperation with the Kingdom of Denmark has not succeeded in creating full equality.

It is now time for our country to take the next step. Like other countries in the world, we must work to remove the obstacles to cooperation – which we can describe as the shackles of colonialism – and move forward," Egede said.

He added that it was up to the people of Greenland to decide on independence but did not say when a vote could be held.

Historical Background. When the Danish-Norwegian union was dissolved in 1814, despite the fact that the island of Greenland originally belonged to Norway, it went to Denmark and remained this way until 1953.

However, in 1941, the United States (with the consent of the Danish government) took the island under its protection and put its troops there, which remain in Greenland to this day.

This was done under the pretext of preventing Hitler's Germany from using Greenland as its base (after the Wehrmacht occupied Denmark itself).
The treaty on the use of the territory of Greenland by the Americans for military purposes is still in force today.

This interest eventually led to the U.S. making its first offer to Denmark to sell its colony in 1946. But Denmark refused.

The second and third offers came in 2017 and late 2024 from President Donald Trump and were declined again.

And now, less than a month after Trump's latest proposal, Greenland's prime minister has talked about seeking independence.

The island's right to do so is spelled out in the "Greenland Self-Government Act" passed in a referendum in 2008 and ratified by the Danish authorities.

Accordingly, there are no formal reasons not to allow the people of Greenland to leave Denmark. All the island needs to do is hold a referendum and get more than 50% of the votes for independence.

Taking into account the position of the U.S., who will find it easier to negotiate with an independent Greenland, there is no way Denmark can withdraw its consent, even if it wished to do so.

Prime Minister Egede's statement suggests that such an attempt will be made during Trump's term in the White House. The chances of the supporters of independence getting their way with the referendum currently look very high.

Service workers union rejoins AFL-CIO after 20 years just ahead of Trump's inauguration

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Service Employees International Union is returning to the AFL-CIO after 20 years, betting that a united labor movement will do more to help workers overcome legal challenges to organize and join unions.

The union groups' executive boards each unanimously approved the combination on Wednesday, with plans to formally announce the affiliation at a Thursday roundtable discussion in Austin, Texas, with workers who are attempting to become union members. There are roughly 2 million SEIU workers in the health care, janitorial and food services sectors, among others. Their addition would bring the total number of AFL-CIO members to nearly 15 million, helping increase the political heft of a federation already composed of 60 unions.

Elon Musk says DOGE probably won’t find $2 trillion in federal budget cuts

Tech billionaire Elon Musk said Wednesday that his budget-cutting effort on behalf of President-elect Donald Trump would most likely not find $2 trillion in savings, backtracking on a goal he set earlier as co-head of a new advisory body, the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Musk told political strategist Mark Penn in an interview broadcast on X that the $2 trillion figure was a “best-case outcome” and that he thought there was only a “good shot” at cutting half that.

After Durov's arrest, Telegram began to transfer user data to American security forces much more frequently.

According to Telegram Transparency Reports, between January 1 and September 30, 2024, Telegram complied with just 14 requests to transfer “IP addresses and/or phone numbers” from the United States, affecting a total of 108 users. However, in all of 2024, 900 requests from the United States were complied with, affecting a total of 2,253 users. The number of requests complied with increased sharply between October and December, following Durov’s arrest in Paris.

Telegram's refusal to cooperate with EU authorities led to its criminal prosecution in France - the app's creator was accused of "complicity in the distribution of pornography involving minors," "drug trafficking," "fraud as part of an organized group," and other crimes. After this, Durov announced that he had tightened moderation, and the function that showed nearby users disappeared from Telegram.

Jack Smith, special counsel in Trump cases, resigns

Special counsel Jack Smith has resigned from the Justice Department after completing his work overseeing two federal prosecutions of Donald Trump, according to a government court filing.

Though Smith’s departure was expected, official word of the end of his two-year appointment came in a footnote to a court filing Saturday, as government lawyers urged a federal judge in Florida not to extend a court order temporarily blocking the release of the final report on his findings.

Scoop: Denmark sent Trump team private messages on Greenland

Denmark sent private messages in recent days to President-elect Trump's team expressing willingness to discuss boosting security in Greenland or increasing the U.S. military presence on the island, two sources with knowledge of the issue tell Axios.

Why it matters: Trump's refusal to rule out military force to take control of Greenland was effectively a threat to invade a longstanding NATO ally. Those comments caught Copenhagen and many other European capitals off guard.

Government at it's finest. Current building has a capacity of 3431 workers but over the last year only 72 were actually using the building. Thats 1.2 million square feet of space being used by 72 people from 2 different agencies and I have no idea what either agency is. USAGM and VOA. 2 agencies that probably wouldn't be missed at all.

Uri G has offered Trump his island to Trump in his bid for Greenland.

Watching the confirmation hearing for Hegseth. Anything but bipartisan.

Edit: Getting a bit heated and now we got religion. lol

Edit 2: Today's hearing over. Strictly partisan lines. Contentious at times.
