NATO allies offer Ukraine security assurances as Biden hits out at 'craven' Putin

President Joe Biden accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of having a "craven lust for land and power" at the end of a NATO summit on Wednesday where Ukraine won new security assurances from the U.S. and its allies for its defence against Moscow.

That's all you got? The Current Account. Ok, well that's a pretty bad way of measuring anything. Shall we start with them still running a SURPLUS. When is the last time the US saw a surplus of anything? Plus, it could indicate their economy is doing better as their people could be buying more consumer goods which would reduce the current account.
 
Zelinskyy just had to honor the Minsk agreements and not persecute Russians living in his country - but, of course, he wouldn't have billions in US taxpayer money flowing if he did that.

Ukraine: Two dead after 'attack' on Crimea bridge - BBC News​

Two people have died after an "attack" on the bridge linking the occupied Crimean peninsula to Russia.
The head of Crimea's parliament blamed Ukraine for the incident, state media reported, but Kyiv is yet to officially comment.
The Kerch bridge was opened in 2018 and enables road and rail travel between Russia and Crimea - Ukrainian territory occupied by Moscow's forces since 2014.
Russia's transport ministry said the bridge's supports were not damaged.

I believe Russia has occupied Crimea for long enough to claim the territory -

'Crimea was part of Russia from 1783, when the Tsarist Empire annexed it a decade after defeating Ottoman forces in the Battle of Kozludzha'

So technically, yes I suppose Crimea is occupied

Missiles incoming in the next 48 hrs... probably taking out Command and Control Centers in Ukraine.
 
Zelensky needs WW3 in order to get everyone else to get rid of Russia but the NATO lot are not at all keen.

Apart from Poland, who also probably think an article 4 situation will allow them to go and grab 'their' bit of Ukraine and everyone else will have their back.

Russia is doing just fine in a war that is rapidly evolving as information, AI and smart delivery systems change the rules.
Those 'big arrow' moves are only possible if the enemy has no available defence and until Ukraine runs out of soldiers and weapons it makes more sense to goad the Ukrainians into attacking prepared Russian defences.

Russia seems able to respond calmly all provocations and not allow itself to be provoked, always having the ability to up the ante and to let the enemy know that they have such options.

Notorious Wagner Group mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has been killed in a plane crash along with 10 people on board.

A private jet owned by Prigozhin has crashed in Russia killing everyone on board - and the notorious warlord was on the passenger list, the Russian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed.

The news is breaking from Russia this afternoon that a possible business jet owned by Prigozhin has plummeted to the ground and exploded in a fireball in the Tver region, northwest of Moscow.

Dramatic footage posted online shows an aircraft plummeting in a straight line from the sky down onto the group, and exploding in flames.
