Pensions will not be cut, they’ll be inflated away.
Exactly. They HAVE been and ARE being cut.

Real-world inflation has added up to over 60-percent price/COLA increases since 2020. EVERYTHING essential most of which government liars don't COUNT, with their rigged stats. Rent, doubled. Food, nearly doubled. Auto fuel, up 40 percent. Auto insurance, doubled.

Clothing, doubled. Electrical, increased 30 percent.

Pension income, up about 10 percent, using the Commerce Department's jiggered stats for RRR increases.

Here in my 55-plus apartment house, I see residents selling their cars to pay for expenses. They're on antiSocial inSecurity, and really hurting.

And nobody's heating up the tar. Come Election Day, it's...."Where's the D. Vote DEMOCRAT, they're FOR THE PEOPLE. You're not one of those Trump freaks, ARE YOU!"

How Elon Musk's access to Treasury system may impact Social Security, other government payments

News that Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk now has access to a government payment system that is responsible for $6 trillion in annual federal payments — including Social Security and Medicare benefits — has prompted criticism from Democratic lawmakers and advocates.

Yet in a new letter to Congress, the Treasury Department said the new development has not caused those benefit payments to be “delayed or re-routed.”

Last week, it was reported Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent granted access to the federal payment system to DOGE, an office within the president’s executive office. DOGE has been tasked with finding ways to reduce federal spending and increase government efficiency.

Opinion piece.

Opinion: Elon Musk is coming for your Social Security

The only efficiency Elon Musk cares about is how efficiently he can take your money to line his own pockets. Despite President Trump’s campaign promises, Musk is coming after your earned Social Security benefits.

President Dwight Eisenhower, Republican and war hero, could have been talking about Musk when he warned in 1954 of a handful of “Texas oil millionaires” attempting to abolish Social Security. “Their number is negligible and they are stupid,” he wrote.

MSN.

Yup. Mockingbird Source Nooze.

Musk, probably the richest man in the world, needs to steal (anti)SOCIAL (in)SECURITY.

The MSN liars should be arrested for Insurrection.

Lawrence: Because of Musk and Trump, for the first time Social Security payments are not guaranteed

Feb 17, 2025 #elonmusk #trump #socialsecurity

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explains how Elon Musk, whose only mission in government is to cut payments, has gained control over Social Security and put those payments in jeopardy for the first time, proving that President Roosevelt was right when he said, "No damn politician can ever scrap my social security program."

I appreciate the caution warning - not for the warning, but as a little instruction to myself that I'm getting a bit thin-skinned.

I'll take it under advisement.

This sort of thing is useful, I have to remind myself - know what the Enemy is telling its tools and fools.

I appreciate the caution warning - not for the warning, but as a little instruction to myself that I'm getting a bit thin-skinned.

That was me having a laugh. I thought it was hysterical. I do that with some posts.

Truth be told............they (msnbc) have kinda come a bit unglued since the election. It's actually worse than we Trump won before. Then again...........2 sides to every coin.

Honest mistakes? Or outright lies in an attempt to screw hard working retirees out of what they worked for and paid into (along with their employers paying their share) their whole lives? Doesn't make a difference. It should not be happening.

Musk misreads Social Security data, millions of dead people not on benefits: Experts

President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, in their hunt for "fraud, waste and abuse" in the federal government, are falsely implying millions of dead Americans are receiving Social Security benefits, experts told ABC News.

It started in the Oval Office last week when Musk -- facing reporters for the first time since the Department of Government Efficiency began its aggressive overhaul of the federal government -- said he found "crazy things" in the Social Security system, including, he said, people who are "150 years old."

'Nightmare for all of us': Anxiety grows among Social Security recipients

President Donald Trump was asked at a press conference this month if there were any federal agencies or programs that Elon Musk’s newly formed Department of Government Efficiency wouldn’t be allowed to mess with.

“Social Security will not be touched,” Trump answered, echoing a promise he has been making for years. Despite his eagerness to explode treaties, shutter entire government agencies and abandon decades-old ways of doing things, the president understands that Social Security benefits for seniors are sacrosanct.

The nightmare is the Left's propaganda-outlets, the misnamed "press," distorting, lying and inciting, about what Musk and DOGE are doing.

Yeah, the richest man in the world is gonna loot the Social Security Administration - which has nothing but computerized IOUs, anyway. The silliness of elderly DemocRat voters, so ill-informed makes me embarrassed to be old. What is there to loot, and why would Musk loot it? HOW could he loot it? The Klintoons and later the Bidenista, ROUTED MONEY INTO THEIR POCKETS. Musk doesn't NEED the cash flow that Chelsea and Doctor Jill and Hunter the Painter, need. Musk can put on gay puppet shows anywhere, any time he wants.

It's those who slime their way into government, basically indigent, and emerge as multimillionaires, having done nothing, who need this gusher of seignorage.

The bottom line is, those of a democracy get the government they deserve. Do we deserve these looters of the public treasuries, who accuse those who come to stop it, of doing what they have done?

Everything Donald Trump's Address Said About Social Security

President Donald Trump delivered a joint address to Congress on Tuesday, highlighting his achievements in the early weeks of his second term and outlining his plans for the next four years.

While covering a range of topics from domestic policy to foreign relations, his comments on Social Security were particularly notable. Trump announced that his administration is investigating fraud within the program, citing issues like unrealistic beneficiary ages and excessive spending.

He also proposed eliminating taxes on Social Security benefits for seniors, emphasizing that reducing fraud and waste would help balance the budget, lower inflation and strengthen the economy.

Bernie Sanders Sounds Alarm On Elon Musk's Frightening 'Prelude' For Social Security

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) dug into Elon Musk on Monday over the billionaire’s attempts to undermine benefit programs like Social Security with his talks of wasteful spending in the federal government.

“Why do you make it look like it’s a broken, dysfunctional system? The reason is to get people to lose faith in the system and then you can give it over to Wall Street,” said Sanders in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

San Diego hit with $533 million pension payment, an unprecedented sum in a painful budget year

San Diego’s pension board unanimously approved Friday a record-high $533.2 million annual pension payment for the city due July 1.

The half-billion-dollar payment, which comes with the city facing a large budget deficit of roughly $250 million, is $44 million higher than last year and $35 million higher than the pension system’s actuary had projected last spring.

This is the first time San Diego’s annual payment has ever surpassed $500 million.

The actuary told the pension board Friday that his early projections indicate next year’s payment will be even larger at $547.6 million. But that number could change over the next 12 months, particularly based on the stock market.

Every so often, it turns out Mom or Dad is a popsicle in the garage freezer while worthless kid keeps collecting the check...

Why spread the lies? Removing FRAUDULENT claimants, deceased or otherwise not eligible, is not, repeat NOT, cutting off social security!

Anyone remember the Grace Commission, forty years ago? Back before the Party of Party Power, found graft a convenient funding tool? That was a bipartisan effort to control waste, fraud and abuse. Nobody hysterically fought it. The Grace Commission was much the same, but more conventional: An outsider, Peter Grace, going through government disbursement and spending authorizations. No DemocRat worried that Grace wasn't elected. No one set fire to any of Grace's business-related stores or customers - he had six or so businesses.

Why do they, now? BECAUSE THEIR SEVEN-FIGURE INCOMES DEPEND ON THIS GRAFT AND FRAUD! DOGE is right over the target - that's why they're shooting back.

Republicans want Musk to shut up about Social Security

Senate Republicans want Elon Musk to stop talking about Social Security, and the Department of Government Efficiency to leave it alone.

Musk’s statement that Social Security is a “Ponzi scheme” and plans to cut up to 12 percent of the Social Security Administration’s workforce is giving GOP lawmakers heartburn.

They warn that Social Security reform is known as the “third rail” of politics for a reason: Any party that touches it is likely to get zapped come Election Day.

And Republicans fear that reductions in staff and field offices will boomerang on them, predicting that constituents will grow frustrated if it becomes more difficult and time-consuming to address problems related to benefit claims.

TRAPPED WORKING FOREVER! Can't Retire, CAN'T FIND A JOB!

Mar 20, 2025

Many older Americans are finding themselves in a situation where they don't have enough savings to retire but also are too old to find a good high paying job they need. Here's what people who are in this position today are doing.

He's right, but it's also an historical norm. How many people of retirement age in the 1950s, did so on the pittance that always was antiSocial inSecurity? Many. Maybe, most. Think about it: If you're 65 in 1955, you were 45 in 1935. If you weren't executive-level management, you had a good probability of being jobless part of, or all of, the 1930s. What you perhaps saved a decade earlier, when younger, you burned through. If you bought stocks in the 1920s, you'd effectively zeroed out.

So, basically, you had ten years of strong earnings postwar to save and retire off. That ain't gonna do it - I'd SEEN it, in my own family. One member of my grandmother's generation - she had a big family - made it, as an independent businessman doing war contracts. He carried the others through retirement, but only with emergent needs. A great-uncle was a postman, with a union pension. Fortunately for his sister, my grandmother, because she was widowed and living on SS. That barely paid for a hovel - she had to move in with Baby Brother. And they fought constantly.

What we saw, 1980s, to 2009, was the historical anomaly. So, welcome to reality, folks. The magic of ever-expanding fiat, is over...now we have to live with the resultant hangover.

Social Security Chief Says White House Ordered 'Rapid' Phone Service Cutbacks

WASHINGTON ― The White House requested the rapid changes to phone service that the Social Security Administration plans to put in place next week, the agency’s leader said Monday.

In a meeting with advocacy groups that are stakeholders in the agency’s disability and retirement programs, Leland Dudek said the sweeping changes he’s pursued since becoming acting commissioner last month were dialed up by his superiors in the Trump administration.

“He said, ‘The reason that we’re on this timeline is because we received a request from the White House. The leadership above me believes that we should do a rapid rollout,’” a source in the meeting told HuffPost. Two additional sources confirmed the account.

Dudek last week announced that for any transaction requiring Social Security claimants to verify their identities, starting on March 31 they will no longer be able to do so over the phone. Instead, claimants who can’t use the agency’s website will have to verify their identities in-person by visiting a field office.
