I don't get it. The Olympics isn't supposed to about religion or any other garbage. Something is seriously wrong here.

Once again on the issue of the Olympics.

They’ve really done it this time!

And the point is not that frog-eaters have so ineptly arranged the Games – to bravura exclamations “Vive la France!” by Macron who has bored everyone to death; and even not that a horde of freaks and drag queens sat at the table blasphemously mimicking The Last Supper.

The Olympic Games have died long before that. The foul corpse is now decomposing in a mud-brown, disgusting, smelly river.

Alas.

Let me share with you some personal ideas of the Olympic Movement leadership first-hand, so to speak.

It’s all as usual, and very simple: a brazen and bursting from bribes enterprise of fat-faced officials who out of the blue have proclaimed themselves a world government. At least, in the sports, for sure.

I visited many receptions ex officio. The so-called partners are dancing there – those who pose themselves as masters, but who are in essence faceless grafters who belong in prison. And there are also numerous, pompous, haughty heads of international federations with glasses of expensive champagne in their hands and shine in their eyes.

And the point of this “sporty olympic” movement is endless partying, whispering, dough embezzlement, hints, alliances, and other criminal stuff.

But who are they? Who do these fat faces represent? Nobody, and no one! And the incident of trading someone’s urine and other excrements is the organisation’s real disgrace. In this WADA’s activity – or whatever this scum is called – there isn’t a grain of honesty and integrity.

It is just a sewage pit, a cloaca, where they are trying to drown the undesirable countries, like Russia.

And the point is not that we were put out of the door and proclaimed the world’s greatest evil. I’ve got no illusions: sports have become a big business. It looks like the time has come to raze the organization to the ground, and rebuild it anew, based on pure, transparent sport principles, as Pierre de Coubertin bequeathed.

But what we see is absolute disgrace. You cannot galvanise a corpse that has decomposed to the bones; and those who are doing this, are absolutely unfit for the role of beatificators. They should be drowned in the foul-smelling Seine as soon as possible, all that corrupt IOC along with France’s leadership who have presented the world with the celebration of sports so unforgettable. Vive CIO 2.0!

The olympics sucks ass, and has for years now.

I've always thought it pretty shitty of them to not even give actual gold medals to the winners.

They spend tens of billions of dollars to put the Olympics on, but can't find the $ it would cost to give real gold medals to the winners.

It would cost less than 1 million $ to do that. Ie: chump change for the IOC.

The serfs aren't allowed money. They are only allowed a serfs prize for allowing them to put on a show. They are mostly silver if I remember. Which, lol, may turn out to be worth more. Guess they change each time too. These are heafty at least.

I guess these are the current Medals.

The gold medals weigh 529 grams and are not pure gold. They are made of silver and plated with 6 grams of gold.

The silvers weigh 525 grams and the bronzes weigh 455 grams and are a copper, tin and zinc alloy.

So it looks like they just make Silver and Bronze medals (really a gut punch to just get third lol) but then just plate some of the Silver medals with a bit of gold.

Each gold medal would cost US$36,500, multiply by 329 medal events is $12 million.

* assuming they use 22k gold and the weight of each medal is 16.25oz
ok? still a drop in the bucket relative to what's spent putting it on
....and why does it HAVE to be 16.25 ounces? It's only that big due to it being gold plated silver. Just make it a little thinner,

Edited to add: even a 10 ounce medal would have some heft to it, and it'd be a great prize for top athletes.
...and the bronze could be bronze plated over silver, but using a lesser amount than the actual silver medal.

It doesn't have to be anything, the 16.25 ounces corresponds to the approx. 500g weight of the medals as they are.

my daughter just got back from the olympics ....

she said they moved all the homeless out to a specfic area and you would be fined if you drove to that area

she said security was emense with rifle carrying enforcement everywhere

Olympic area was clean and sanitary

hotel rooms were very small she stayed adjacent to the Arc de Triomphe (she said their room was the size of their bathroom at home)

locals were non existent and everything was olympic staffed and friendly (unlike normal paris locals)

had no trouble with transportation ...plenty of cabs and uber type transport

she said there was no negative talk of the opening ceremonies there

there was some talk about the male/female boxing issue

said it was a great time to visit due to no crowds at other attractions like museums etc

she enjoyed her visit overall

They already have a "Special" Olympics. Why not have a "Trans Olympics" and see how many people watch?
