Yeah I think the USSR moving missiles into Cuba was in response to the USSA putting weapons in Turkey.

Apparently there were Russian - NATO treaties that excluded the Ukraine from joining NATO and being nuclear capable. That is not to mention long standing diplomatic understanding that super-power border states need to be neutral.

Typically these things are 'tit for tat' and our media covers the 'tit' but never the 'tat'.

It's not Russia love, god forbid they rule the globe BUT they seem to have been a cooler head in all this. Imagine the noise if the whole thing was flipped and it was Mexico in a BRIC's security alliance getting Chinese Nukes set up! The US would own Mexico's a$$ in a hot second and the media would be OK with it.

They were put in place 91. At the time Ukraine had one of the largest nuclear stockpiles. They had to give them all up as well.

... and if they all go that route the dynamic that strengthens the USD can remain in play on a relative basis. Got Gold?

Who says that Put buying is Retail? I highly doubt that narrative. I don't see that as a contrary indicator. Look at that 2020 peak and think of all the mother WEF'ers that were tipped off and likely bought puts. That looks to be before or at least during that crash. Would have to overlay and zoom to tell. It looks to have happened in 2008 too, that peak was before the worst part of the crash.

Plus this could work just like the call option gamma ramps, except with far OTM Puts you'd accelerate a crash.

Twitter found is necessary to censor dick but not the obvious choice.

Was thinking...... if there are food shortages...... what companies are affected first?
Lets say there is a potato shortage. What hurts first, the stores that have no potatos to sell or the canned potatos that would hurt a cannery or the potato chip companies that rely on people buying junk food?

The same could be said about every commodity that will run short of supply. Sure it will affect trucking etc....... but it has to hit some companies first and worse then others......... so should frito lay be shorted at the right time?

Looks like most markets trading sideways today while the dollar gains strength.

They classify the accounts. The system keeps track of metadata like that.

Did they show you any of the data or just put a label there blaming retail? Also, what was that also retail buying Puts in the 2020 spike? I sense an agenda there and nothing more. But, retail is also wising up much faster and I'd almost argue Hedge Funds can be dumb money now.
