We are currently well beyond the 1929 set up in depth and length, 29 could pass for a correction up to the crash. Looks a bit different to that on a candle chart.
 
A) The Investable Bucket = VIX 9-18, where you can buy every damn dip and make money in SPY
B) The Chop Bucket = VIX high teens to high 20s, where you can get chopped up if you can’t fade/trade
C) The Bad Word Bucket = VIX > 30 going towards 80, where levered long dip buyers die.

 
ASX Goldies hit for a solid 4% out of the gate this AM. Will it roll on or will it seeing buying by days end? White collar suicide hour (lunch time) is always a good view into the small traders mind.

Even if the Germans lift sanctions and that ain't gonna happen the Russians want a re on the team that investigates the pipeline sabotage.
Cold today colder tomorrow. Wonder how long the Germans will allow their leaders to do this.?

Yeah, none of it is happening yet... maybe if they start fire bombing the leaders houses, maybe then the message will get through.

Civil unrest dead ahead.

Hell, I'm with them on the "leave NATO" bit. NATO serves no purpose today. My tax money can be used here at home. The Soviet Union boogeyman is gone.

DXY monthly for some perspective. Really it is not looking anywhere near done yet, actually looking similar to it was at these levels on it's way to 170 in the 80's. The end of the last debt cycle into the next one.... three more years? Can you handle that? Allow for it.

 
I've got kids on twitter telling me that it was easy to buy a house in the 80's, cause cheap... they don't seem to understand what 14% rates and 20% deposits mean when you earn 20K and are buying a 100K house! Sydney wasn't easy...
 
Ukraine is about to taste the full power of Russia's military might. They have shown amazing restraint in the face of the West trying to egg them on.
 
You can only push so much. NATO and the West have no taste for war if it means committing their own armies. Ukraine men yeah but they don't dare go against Russia China and India. After a taste of a Winter without heat and food shortages there will be some kind of settlement.
