Real war breaking out in Ukraine lets Hulk Smash Gold. Makes sense. But great for my puts. If those can payout while PM's get smashed I'm gonna be a happy camper.
 
What's wrong with the US 10-year yield today? I checked two sites and its flat / non-trading but TLT is down pretty big. Closed bond markets for Columbus Day?

It certainly would bury any mention of the Durham/Danchenko (starts Oct 11) trial and ANY info that comes out about DeepState FBI/CIA dirt.

Almost as good as bombing an aspirin factory because of cigars....
 
I think the West will finally come to the realization that the best thing to do at this point is to cut Ukraine and their Nazis loose. I don't know what Russia's capabilities are and I sure as hell don't want to find out but they might be able to knock out quite a bit of stuff we are taking for granted right now.
 

Something weird about the Cash markets were closed but Futures still traded. Rates were up quite a bit but it didn't show very well.
 

You would think that the Russians have to be better prepared for a fight in the cold.

I caught a few commercials on the tv where some young pretty gen x gal smartly tells how she uses this app to manage her finances. It gives her 'control of her life'. I forget the name of the app, but the gist of it is 'Take control of your money/finances' as if they knew ANYTHING about investing - it's so easy a monkey could do it! One could buy crypto, stocks, etc.

My first thought was 'They're sucking a whole new breed of hopeful investors into the market to fleece'!!

Few months ago when I still subbed to Netflix I attempted to watch Zelensky's show. Got through the first five minutes before I had to turn it off.
