Daniel W. Swift is a former member of the Navy SEALs who has been listed in official records as having deserted since March 2019. The Navy did not provide further information about his U.S. military record, but said, “We cannot speculate as to why the former Sailor was in Ukraine.”

• Some of Ukraine's top civil servants are facing accusations of bribery and taking lavish vacations.
• Zelenskyy has since pledged to take a zero-tolerance approach to corruption in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired at least nine top officials on Tuesday as his government battles claims of bribery and officials splurging on lavish lifestyles during the war.

Four deputy ministers and five regional governors were sacked by Ukraine's cabinet on Tuesday, according to the Telegram channel of Oleg Nemchinov, the secretary of the cabinet of ministers.

Ukraine's deputy prosecutor general, Oleksiy Symonenko, also announced his resignation on the same day, the BBC reported.

The White House is set to approve sending advanced M1 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine, U.S. officials said Tuesday, reversing a months-long policy of resisting the repeated calls of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the same.

The U.S. announcement is expected to spark a similar one by Berlin approving Poland’s request to transfer German-made Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, according to one official.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision is yet to be made public.

AP reports a decision to send 30-plus tanks could be announced as soon as Wednesday, though delivery and assignment could take months for the tanks to be delivered.

U.S. officials said details are still being worked out with the Zelensky administration even as a string of senior Ukraine government officials were sacked or resigned amidst a flurry of corruption claims Tuesday.

Talk on a radio show, a retired marine, sez it takes 9 mos of technical training and 4 mos. of basic tank training to be consider a rookie tank driver.
If that is true. The US is either providing Russia with some new targets to play with, destroy, and salvage new tech, OR American veteran tank commanders will driving those tanks.
Probably the same for those Leopard Tanks Germany will send since America is sending some Abrams too.
I also heard Ukraine Prez. says "thanks" now wants US War Planes too.
How many time is the US gonna make these sucker donations only to be destroyed on the field along with the US Economy.
