That's a nice cover, but I hated the song decades ago when I realized California was... just wrong in so many ways. More specifically it was the voters who voted the politicians who turned the state into shit. My experience started in the 60's and 70's and was pretty good. I think that is a good inflection point. Then most of the state decided to change direction and choose to destroy everything positive.
