Smart lessons. :lmao:

The most important thing is that we staff these important government agencies with people who are not straight White men. That's job 1, so stop bitching about poor results. The goal here isn't to protect life and property, nobody cares about your house, it's to take jobs away from straight White men and give them to people who clearly aren't qualified. It's called DEI (Didn't Earn It) and it is priority number one.

Shame on all of you for complaining about this disaster.

I wonder if folks in California building homes in these wildfire danger zones will ever get smart about not building homes made of wooden structures and maybe, just maybe it might be wiser to build some earth sheltered homes instead. It's not like the Malibu millionaires can't afford some monolithic concrete pours.

Good to see that Californians have their priorities straight.

Up to 6 FIRES BURNING NOW.

11 DEAD.

$135-$150 BILLION in damage.

10,000 homes and businesses destroyed.

NO WATER!

Pacific Palisades reservoir empty and off-line.

Defunded and understaffed fire department.

AND THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE IS BUSY WORRYING ABOUT TRUMP-PROOFING THE STATE!!!

They’re worrying about PROTECTING ILLEGALS, WHILE THEIR REAL CITIZENS BURN!

Elsewhere I heard Jesse Waters rant about how a Fuddrel takeover of Calicrazyland was necessary. No time to wait for a recall election.

I disagree. Vehemently. This is the time to LET THIS MADHOUSE COLONY WITHER AND DIE.

As every self-help group teaches, help comes from within. A person must hit bottom before he can begin coming back up. He has to WANT help; he has to have gone as far into his delusions as he can.

This is Californistan. They welcomed these invaders. They worried about useless fish, and about "Trumpism." They've outlawed IC automobiles, starting in five years.

They DIDN'T outlaw dry reserviors, incendiary tinder buildup on forest floors, hiring of unfit firefighters and promotion of incompetent Woke supervisors and political leaders, based on how repugnantly-deviant their sex habits are.

This is what comes of it. And they have not learned a thing, yet - citizens bind up an OBSERVED arsonist, and the police RELEASE him! They WANT this conflagration. To blame Trump, Glow Bull Warming, Fossel Fuels, White Men!

LET THEM ALL DIE OF EXPOSURE ON THEIR RAINBOW-PAINTED BLM STREETS.

Until THEY get their heads right, things won't correct. If outsiders come in to force changes on them, they'll simply rebel - and first chance, go right back into their lunacy.

If that whole godless hellscape is reduced to cinders, my only worry will be about the people.

...NO, not giving them Free (expletive). About CONTAINING them into the wreckage they've wrought.

The Great Wall of Nevada, maybe.

I knew the left would want to burn it all down when they lost, I didn't think they would actually burn it all down though. More brazen than I thought.
Trump should let them know that they successfully trump proofed Ca and that they are now on their own. FEMA is busy in the south helping real Americans.

What another AMAZING “coincidence”

California had just passed new tax laws, if your home burns down and you don’t rebuild within 2 years (impossible in California) you lose your tax basis. Your property taxes SKYROCKET to the new values of the property

“Think about a home that was purchased many years ago for $5 million. Let's say they were paying $65,000 a year in property taxes. Property goes up a lot over time, especially in these areas. Maybe the value today is $30 million. They go to rebuild it. If it was not, if they couldn't transfer the tax basis, you're looking at like $400,000 a year that they would have to pay”

“In 2020, California voters approved a bill that basically said that if your house burns down in a fire, you can transfer the tax basis of that property to something that you buy or something that you build. But you only have two years to do it.”

So some of the most expensive homes and properties the entire world now will get reassessed to pay maximum property tax values….

Actor James Woods says his house in Pacific Palisades has survived the Los Angeles wildfires that had devastated much of his neighborhood.

“A miracle has happened,” Woods posted Friday on X. "We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing.”

Woods added: “In this hellish landscape ‘standing’ is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us."

Earlier this week, Woods was among hundreds of thousands around Los Angeles who were forced to evacuate as the fires spread and intensified. He has posted regular updates on X, showing charred ruins of homes near his, and had been convinced his house would fare no better.

“So many beautiful messages from all of you,” he posted later Friday. “I’m so happy and grateful, but honestly the entire area looks like the dark side of the moon.”

Numerous celebrities, from Paris Hilton to Billy Crystal, have confirmed their homes were lost or sustained damage in blazes burning in and around Los Angeles. At least 10 people have died, and thousands of structures and vehicles have been destroyed.

It's a real cluster iffn you aks me...

We've now witnessed numerous catastophic national events as a result of liberal political leadership....fires, the loss of national borders and national security, systemic election tampering and voter disenfranchisement, a massive loss of public trust in basic institutions, an unsustainable rise in drug use and homelessness and crime, an unjust abuse of legal systems and mechanisms, etc.....

...and yet, we will surely suffer additional tragic ramifications of liberal policy for years to come before they are finally brought under control.

What we should learn, in today's modern information age, where media messaging and propagandizing and used-car-salesman political pitching can easily be used against us, is that to be a citizen, we must be skeptical and we must be informed...with the truth...and we must reward effectiveness and performance over simple words and promises.

Will it take the loss of a home, or a loved one, or of your freedoms, before you start to truly participate in our democracy?

Or will citizens wake up, finally, to the lies?

Elsewhere I heard, Oregon cities are sending trucks and men down.

And the first convoy got stopped in Oakland. By the CARB - the eco-weenies.

Wanted to see the California Air approval certifications on the fire trucks, which of course they don't have.

These people are flat-out INSANE.

Well everyone knows that air quality is job number one!

Can't have fire trucks polluting the air now can we??

EVERYONE in LA IS TRYING TO BUY THE SAME HOUSE!

Jan 11, 2025

LA is literally on fire and apparently so is it's housing market now. That's right, people are already so desperate to get into a new home, there are now bidding wars on almost every rental unit in LA and many of the homes for sale. It is utter chaos and it makes me wonder if the people bidding up these properties are really thinking this through...

They're liberal democrats. Insanity is a job requirement.
