More than 50 Pa. labor leaders — including teachers unions — are rallying around Gov. Josh Shapiro, as veepstakes continue​

More than 50 Pennsylvania labor leaders signed a letter in support of Gov. Josh Shapiro, as he continues to be considered as a potential running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The major political power players threw their support behind Shapiro in the letter, acknowledging that the labor leaders “don’t have to agree on every single issue to continue to get stuff done.”

Notably, at least two of the state’s largest teachers unions — the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Federation of Teachers — signed the letter. Both of these unions oppose Shapiro’s stance on school vouchers, but have thanked him for his leadership in increasing public education funding.

Leaders from IBEW Local 98, Philadelphia Building Trades Council and the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO are also among the other 50+ organizations who signed on in support.

“Recent history has taught us that even amongst our brothers and sisters in labor, we are not always aligned in our politics,” the labor leaders wrote in the letter, first reported by NBC News. “That’s why it is more crucial than ever that we elevate elected officials whose leadership can unite our democratic coalition an remind us that, above all else, we share a vision for a fairer, stronger, more inclusive Commonwealth and country.”

May of last year and nothing has been done about it. Just one more thing in a very long line of things that will never get prosecuted regardless of who the President is. After years of the same old BS you would think people would wake up to the fact that going along to get along doesn't work. 100 million people shutting down cities across the country, demanding states reclaim their rights might be the 1st step in taking the country back from the communists. It might also just be to late.

Trump Says Americans ‘Won’t Have to Vote Anymore’ If He Wins​

Yesterday, former President Donald Trump told a group of supporters that they won’t have to vote again if they elect him to the presidency. “You won’t have to do it anymore,” Trump said at the Turning Point Believers’ Summit in Florida. “It’ll be fixed; it’ll be fine; you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”

Trump’s remarks represent an extraordinary departure from democratic norms in the United States—rarely if ever has a major party’s presidential candidate directly stated his aim to make elections meaningless, a notorious hallmark of autocracy.

There are at least two ways of interpreting this statement. First, Trump could be implying that there won’t be any future elections if he comes to power. He may imagine himself as an American Xi Jinping, the Chinese dictator he routinely praises, a leader who’s declared himself “president for life.” As he often does, however, Trump left just enough room in what he said for plausible deniability. A second and slightly more charitable interpretation of his remarks is that Trump believes his presidency will entrench so many pro-Christian policies into the United States government that no future election could realistically undo his transformation of the country. Both interpretations lead to the same conclusion: that Trump is telegraphing his authoritarian intentions in plain sight, hoping to sever the link between voters and government policy.



Trump’s remarks last night are just the latest in his long record of expressing authoritarian ideas and admiration for strongmen in several undemocratic regimes—including Russia’s Vladimir Putin, the Philippines’ Rodrigo Duterte, and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

Since launching his first presidential campaign in 2015 by painting an entire group of immigrants as rapists, Trump has taken just about every page from the authoritarian playbook. He lies constantly. He calls the press “the enemy of the people,” a phrase so incendiary that Joseph Stalin’s successor removed it from Soviet propaganda. Trump even went so far as to label any critical reporting “fake.”

The media have taken that to mean that he'll become a dictator, whereas others would realise he meant that should he "win", he won't be able to run for POTUS again and thus make his statement true.

Because you only see him as a monster, and because of that, will always jump to the worst possible conclusion. You are pre-judging him. Same as all his other detractors tend to do.

Many claim the problem with fractional reserve banking is that it loans money into existence. It does, but under normal circumstances the money created by commercial banks disappears when loans are repaid or defaulted on, which therefore doesn’t create a permanent inflation of the money supply.

Fractional reserve banking is what allows the Fed to loan fiat to government(s) that enables them to spend to infinity. When that money washes into the greater economy...

As readers know, I expected Biden to be moved aside. I wondered why the Democrats were waiting so long. They might have been waiting to see if the planned assassination of Trump succeeded. Biden is an issue because he cannot win or come close enough to winning for the Democrats to be able to steal the election as they did in 2020. As the assassination failed, the Democrats need a more viable candidate, one the media can hype as one who can run a close race and win. Fake polls will be published that show the Democrat to be leading Trump. This allows the Democrats to steal the election if necessary.

As there is not sufficient time for the Democrats to create a winning persona for a new presidential candidate, they need someone with name recognition and existing support, such as Hillary Clinton. Hillary and Obama are the main political figures in the Democrat Party. If Hillary has Obama’s support, she is likely to be the candidate. Kamala Harris is not regarded as having any better chance than Biden.

I do not think the Democrats can come up with a candidate who can defeat Trump. Democrats in the swing states have legalized the theft mechanisms they used in 2020 and 2022. If the race can be presented as close, the Democrats can steal the election, but they cannot win it.
