I gotta say, $50 a year is a BARGAIN. I've got about $500 tied up in scrips/donations from GIM1 and GIM2 and now here. But I figure between all the deals on PMs I've gotten from members, the savings back in the day from EBay bucks notifications, and the ratio trading knowledge and stacking info I've received, I've SAVED over 50k. That's like a 100:1 return. It's an investment to me, and PMBUGs stock is sky high right now to me with all the knowledge transfer that has occurred. It's the one stock I will buy into!!!

Sounds like he's overwhelmed with the memberships flowing in.

I will donate, once the dust settles. I have to arrange my life a bit, also - I have security measures; I don't tie money into my online recreation. This comes from the first online board I found, 25 years ago, was a hackers' and phreakers' board. I learned what scum so many of this world, really are.

I have basic personal security measures and I have to move a bit deliberately on this.
 
Frankly I find the atmosphere here refreshing. Moving every once in a while is a good way to lighten the load, and this is probably similar. Hopefully the best of GIM makes the transfer and the rest is discarded in the transition.

NSA has EVERYTHING... and by that I mean EVERYTHING.

It was revealed by a certain letter of the alphabet that the Deep State goons were 'communicating' using gaming platform messaging, as well as gmails never sent. Anyone with the login to the gmail account would 'add to' the unsent email.

They have it all.

One hopes.

But it was only by accident that I found this - and Scorpio has banned mention of other boards on the thread I was reading. He's edited out the links.

One hopes most of the good people make it; but there's always damage, lost and broken things, in a move.

I think you're correct Voodoo. The forum that started out as a Precious Metal Forum devolved into a political forum due to the lackluster performance in the PM's.
I'm sure political issues will dominate this site too as metals are still pretty boring. JMHO

Unfortunately Politics, like cotton, is the fabric of our lives.

It influences every aspect of PMs.

I fully expected a bump in PMs from Nordstream 2 self imploding on itself....

Yeah, that's what I meant in the Premium Memberships thread regarding taking checks/crypto. I need to isolate those payment options from "real life".

The link for PMBug has not been edited out on the replacement for GIM thread. He stated he would let it stay.
 
A bit off-topic...but here it is:

How do I stop getting email notifications for every response to every thread I'm in? It's filling up my mailbox.

I know it's the software - another, similar site has the same issue - but unchecking the RECEIVE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS doesn't seem to work.

"Click the down arrow next to Forums in the top of the page menu bar. On the drop down menu, select "Watched Threads". There should be a button top right of the page that says "Manage watched threads". Click that and then "disable email notifications"." Bug

Just curious about something. If you are disappointed that threads are going to disappear on GIM when it gets shuttered why would anyone who has joined here continue to post new threads and comments? The migration started a week ago I figure most if not all who post there are aware of this site by now. Obviously it is your choice but I don't get it.

I asked on GIM, why would anyone who doesn't want their posts recorded post anywhere on the net.

lancers said both boards looked exactly the same. I pointed out they were not.

GIMers both as a group and individually got pretty lucky. Their hangout on the interwebs is soon to close. And now they have a new hangout thanks to our host Bug and our mod Big Jim. Our host has welcomed us into his house with open arms and has gone outta his way to accommodate us in every way possible. Big Jim let peeps know about this place and has worked pretty hard to help people make the transition.

We not only owe both of them thanks, but we owe them respect not to crap the place up. Be nice if we, as a group and individually could put aside any angst, animosity or resentment that may have carried over from GIM for any dirty deeds, real or imagined, that were done dirt cheap.

We have a new start here. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt and move forward in a positive direction.

That's my plan.

So eerrr welcome all you GIM2 folk and curiously it’s little ole me that feels like the refugee…..
I’ve been quietly here ( at bug land) since the beginning and have done what I could to post stuff and keep the site live
and now suddenly there’s a whole bunch of you posting stuff that I am pretty much aligned with, ie I see the monster lies that we are expected to believe and have considered Putin and Lavrov to be exceptional statesmen for many years .
I’m still not sure what Trumps real role was / is and find the Q operation about as confusing as astrology 🙈
I’m all in with gold and silver ( sold house in August 2012 ) and since then have hidden away from the world in a little shed on an old metal mine In the south west of England.
I’m about 90% up on my gold and 30% down on silver shared Between Bullionvault and Goldmoney .
yeah I could be unlucky when the other 199 claimants on my gold ounces pull rank or guns but I’m pretty detached from it and enjoying life generally. Community health resilience and practical skills seem to me to have more value than my stash which hopefully I will not need and the kids get lucky ….
My reason for posting here is because I reckon I will fit in with you good folk and hope you will welcome me into your almost total takeover of the commentary here in bugland and I kinda feel it necessary to introduce myself 🙃
