Trump not much better not as easily controlled ran his mouth a bit too much for TPTB but rushed an experimental jab and kept The Runt around.
BK a number of times stiffed contractors. No picnic that guy.

yeah I could be unlucky when the other 199 claimants on my gold ounces pull rank or guns but I’m pretty detached from it and enjoying life generally. Community health resilience and practical skills seem to me to have more value than my stash which hopefully I will not need and the kids get lucky ….
My reason for posting here is because I reckon I will fit in with you good folk and hope you will welcome me into your almost total takeover of the commentary here in bugland and I kinda feel it necessary to introduce myself 🙃

I don’t think anyone wants to take over. We come from a site that no was all about free speech, and I hope that we can find that here. We are a bunch of curmudgeons, but even when we disagree we pretty much get along (except for when we talk about the fake moon landing).
 
I noticed some of you arrived at the refugee camp with new avatars and some kept them the same. Is there any advantage or disadvantage either way?

I couldn't tell you but I'll probably set mine to the same soon as the forum lets me. I had to laugh a minute ago wondering where a response I made went only to realize I'm the big pink E right now.

As the Old Man said, we have enjoyed the luxury of free speech for all and do hope to enjoy that here as well.
 
You already bring so much !
We were kinda restricted by unspoken guidelines ( probably because it’s a metals site at heart ) and would not explore or exchange ideas regarding viruses ( do they even exist ? ) experimental m-rna dressed up as the fix, goading Russia into Ukraine, alternative healing and the kind of stuff that gets you slung off YouTube or shafted by PayPal
So you bring all this to the forum and I welcome it .

As for those lunar landings, I am torn because while I can fully buy into the fake film set, I kinda can’t get away from the humility and integrity that emanacted from those astronaut / actors
I am willing to allow for both a real landing and a back up in the event it all went wrong .

Thank you for keeping the lights on for us. We are the ones who are grateful to you. Thank you for your thorough introductions. I originally joined GIM2 for practical prepping information and investment ideas. Stayed around for years. Avalon and I are active females on the site. I haven’t seen Brio on here yet. She posts regularly. I am big on being prepared for economic collapse in all aspects of living. Health resilience and practical skills are frequently discussed as well. We don’t want to take over. We do want to contribute to the existing community. Once the dust settles we hope to meet more “Bugs”.

Pretty sure I've contributed several thousand already. :p

As I mentioned previously, I don't care if folk are liberal, conservative, libertarian or other. Just be respectful of folk with differing opinions/worldviews. Everyone should feel welcome here. Makes for more interesting conversation.

The avatars are a shortcut. You see a familiar one, you know what to expect. You might pass on the comment, or might spend some time thinking about it.

I think a lot of peeps have an experience of a blind squirrel finding a nut...that is, someone who's usually not someone we take seriously...that person says something that just rings, and we're halfway to hitting the LIKE button...and remember who it is, that smirking avatar...and we pull back. Maybe it's not so nice, but that's how us naked apes roll. Always we consider the source.
