Theta Labs, a leader in decentralized cloud infrastructure for AI, media, and entertainment, proudly announces Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) as the newest EdgeCloud AI customer.

The company has gained significant traction in Korea academia recently with Korea University, Seoul Women's University (SWU), KAIST, and Yonsei University utilizing its infrastructure to advance their AI research in various cutting edge fields. Through this collaboration, HUFS’s LAB HAI, led by Professor Ikbeom Jang, will leverage Theta EdgeCloud’s scalable EdgeCloud platform accelerate projects such as LLM-based multimodal data learning, neural network-based biomedical data compression, medical imaging and brain diseases, and loss function development for accurate calibration of neural networks.

I'm running 3 Elite Edge Nodes with roughly 30,200 TFUEL staked in total. I think I have around 1800 TFUEL not staked and somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 TFUEL pending the end of the month distribution for the Edge Node rewards.

My old phone died a few days ago and I went and got a new phone. I've installed the Edge Node for Mobile on my phone and set it to run only when it's charging and on a WiFi connection. I left my phone plugged in most of the time and from what I can see, my phone gets a flurry of jobs between 7pm and 4am more or less and maybe an odd job once in a while outside of that window. The Edge Node for Mobile jobs are all AI processing of video (identifying objects in video) and the job notes let me see the 2-3 second video clip that was processed which is interesting. The jobs don't pay much though - about 0.05 TFUEL/job.

I have not cashed out. I think Theta has a lot of potential to grow.

But if you want to cash out, you should be able to sell using Coinbase Wallet or some other offramp. I mostly use Coinbase.com (CB) as my offramp when I want to cash out a crypto position. CB doesn't allow direct trading of Theta so I would need to first need to trade the Theta for another crypto (probably USDC stablecoin) first and then cash out the trade pair.
