It's been well known for many decades that exercise provides many benefits to our health. This can be said about life in general and anything you do.

Leave self doubt in the changing room. Believe in yourself when you step into the ring.

Boxers at all levels experience self-doubt before a contest, but they must learn to shake it off and be positive and focused before that first bell rings.

Texans' playoff win over Chargers ends with final score that's never been seen before in NFL history

The 2025 NFL playoffs started with a blowout on Saturday with the Houston Texans coming back from an early 6-0 deficit to absolutely destroy the Los Angles Chargers in a game where the two teams combined to make NFL history with a final score that's never been seen before.

With just under four minutes left to play, the Texans decided to go for it on fourth-and-1 from the Chargers' 17-yard line and Joe Mixon made the gamble pay off when he ran the ball in for a touchdown. That TD ended up being a big one because it gave us a scorigami: The 32-12 final marked the first time in NFL history that a game had ever ended with that exact score.

How To Use Your Body To Make Yourself Happier

If your goal is to be happier in the year ahead, you might focus on your body rather than your mind. You can start right now by sitting up a little straighter. Then give a brief smile—even a fake one. These tweaks will tell your brain that something good is about to happen and you’re more likely to feel positive and upbeat.

Sound unlikely? In research led by cognitive scientist John Bargh at Yale in 2009, people who held a cup of warm cup coffee before an interview were more likely to find an individual warm and kind. A 2010 study led by psychologist Joshua Ackerman, showed that people make different decisions when they’re seated in a hard chair versus a soft one. Soft seat, soft heart, you might say. When asked to negotiate to buy a new car, those in the hard chairs offered dramatically less than the others after one offer was rejected. Hard chairs made people harder negotiators.

‘I’m Going to Plot Your Demise for My Entire Workout.’ Gym Rats Can’t Wait for You to Quit Your Resolution.

Heshie Brody knows what to expect at his local gym in January. Yet every year, the software engineer is surprised by the volume of new faces and level of chaos.

“It’s packed. Your favorite locker is taken. The treadmills are full. You have to wait in line for the shower,” Brody, 29, said of his gym in Brooklyn, N.Y.

It’s difficult to empathize, he said, when he knows many of the newcomers won’t be back.

“Listen, I respect your New Year’s resolution,” Brody said. “But I’ll be impressed if you’re still showing up in February.”

Isometrics Is The Purest Form Of Strength Training, So Why Isn’t Everyone Doing It?

Isometric training is the simplest, easiest, most direct, and pure form of strength training. It’s also one of the safest and most accessible when considering the demands on time, energy, proficiency, and equipment resources. So on the surface, isometric should be the absolute dominant method of strength training for everyone, yet it’s far from it so why is that?

Eagles’ ‘playmaker’ explains emotional reaction after stepping up in win playoff win over Rams

PHILADELPHIA – Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers is no stranger to coming off the bench to fill in for an injured teammate. He has done so several times this season, holding his own in coverage while making key stops. Rodgers was called upon again Sunday, this time under the highest stakes of his career.

When cornerback Quinyon Mitchell left in the first quarter of Sunday’s divisional-round game against the Los Angeles Rams with a shoulder injury, Rodgers stepped in to help cover Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua. The Rams tested him often, especially in the second half. However, Rodgers rose to the occasion, finishing with two pass breakups, five tackles, and a fumble recovery that he returned to set up a 23-yard Jake Elliott field goal. The Eagles secured a 28-22 victory, advancing to the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders next Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Two reasons the Eagles are a win away from the Super Bowl: otherworldly talent, and Nick Sirianni’s guiding hand

For a moment, it sounded as if Nick Sirianni was talking out of both sides of his mouth. Not that you could blame him. Barely an hour had passed since the 43-year-old head coach had clinched his second NFC championship berth in three seasons and, well, there was a lot to process.

The Eagles’ 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday felt less like a football game and more like a lifetime. Or, at least, a 10-episode season of prestige television.

The home team never trailed after the first quarter, but not for a lack of trying. In a driving second-half snow that left the field covered for most of the final two quarters, the Eagles alternated between sealing, unsealing, and resealing the victory. Not until Matthew Stafford and the Rams were 13 yards away from a game-winning touchdown did the Eagles salt away the thing for good.
